The wheels refused to turn. Sylvester glanced at the clock and laughed softly. “Midnight already?” he murmured. “Way past your bedtime.” I frowned sleepily at him while he tucked the blankets properly around my body. “Sleep well, princess,” he whispered, gently stroking my hair again. I was craving to cuss at him but Hope was staring at me. “We will talk about it later,” I looked away from them, picking up a toy, “isn’t it Woody from the toy story?” I asked, pretending to be more intrigued by the toy than my mate and my daughter looking at my face. “Yes! It is. That is one of my favorite cartoon movies,” thankfully, Hope being a child was much more innocent than the evil Silas. “That is great, mine too,” I stated, sharing the enthusiasm with her. “And your mother will talk to you about the wedding tomorrow morning,” Silas being an as*hole he was, gently rubbed her arms and then passed me a very annoyed look.
