And the Demon king, the one he killed, was still alive, walking around somewhere in this timeline, young, healthy and free. And he had not yet became the monster he killed. His mind was still spiraling, then a knock jolted him out. “Lysan, the combat exams start in about ten minutes, are you ready yet?” Another male voice came through from behind the door.

But for every demon that fell, ten more seemed to rise up in its place, their numbers unending. Damon was a skilled fighter, trained by his cousin Roshan in the art of demon-slaying. He had been taught to harness his demonic powers, to wield his sword with precision and deadly force. But even with his superior training, the sheer number of demons began to take its toll.

She said with a serious voice. "Whipped? People are whipped here?" I asked with wide, disbelieving eyes. She nodded. "Darling, these are demons. They are not good creatures. They are revengeful, possessive and strong beings. Do not get on their bad side. They commit horrible, horrible things. The King had a prisoner from the human realm the other day. His eyes were taken first." She explained.

Kyle said, and I hummed. "Didn't you guys say that I am an energy package? If all my powers get used up, the demon king will stop looking for me. Isn't it the power he is after?" I asked, and I could see my reasoning was irritating Kyle judging from how he was clenching and unclenching his fists. "To protect me and not harm me with your powers," I heard Evander's voice, and that's how my torture of training began. After two hours~~~~ "Is this the most you've got? Harder!"
