And finally to the left stood my human guardians. They’re not mere humans anymore, with gifts of their own and access to my powers they were demi-gods. Dean stood before his team, my acting general. The girl giggles. “Don’t be so conceited. You’re not worth my time.” She says. Onyx burns with anger. However, he holds it in because he knows he doesn’t stand a chance against a guardian.

"Stop it with your nonsense. We have sworn our lives to Heaven's Gate," one of the four Guardians spoke indifferently. They were still unwilling to back off even if they knew that they had zero chance of surviving this. "Stubborn. Watch as I kill all of them." An elderly person grunted. He wore green attire with a longsword behind his back and approached under the blizzard. "Then I'll have to trouble you." The old monk bowed slightly. "I am Adam Abernathy from Green City," Adam told the four Guardians grimly and then slowly unsheathed his longsword.

"You mean like... an enemy?" "No," Uncle Tobias said, shaking his head. "Not an enemy. A partner. A protector. A guide." He paused, choosing his words carefully. "The ancient texts called them Sovereign Guardians. They were Lycans born with a sacred purpose – to protect the royal heir, to help them discover and master their powers, and to stand beside them when they finally reclaimed their throne."
