Something closing in. Something he could no longer control. And for the first time— Jonathan realized— This wasn’t just a mistake anymore. It was a trap. And it was already closing

Las Vegas, Nevada. March 2017 Inayo Casino at 09.45 PM _____________________ Lyla waved her hand softly. "You're going to lose tonight." The top of her lips lifted into a small grin. "At least for the night," Lyla thought. "How can a lizard win against a crocodile? There is never a predator that is preyed on," said the girl in the tight red skirt dress. Her two fingers were ready to insert the morphine that had been spinning between her index and middle fingers, now between the sexy lips wrapped in red lipstick.

All except Damian, who was still camping in the safe room while updating everyone’s position and mapping the floor for Zen’s gaming guide. “I don’t know,” Jessica replied. “It stuns the slime and disintegrates it when it crosses into the trap zone.” The new type of trap made Zen excited. It could not be a red herring if the traps were stronger. Something special was awaiting them. “It could be a rare encounter,” Zen concluded. “Do not engage in battle. It’s safer to have everyone assemble before attempting to clear that zone. Damian, could you guide Charlie and Remi over? We’ll need you to leave that safe zone and join us.”

I scowled, grabbing Seth's hand halfway and twisting it behind his back. Seth groaned in pain. "How can you be so petty to want to hit a woman and not just any woman but my woman! While I'm here! You're so funny," I twisted Seth's hand tighter, making it more painful. He struggled to release himself from my tight and painful grip, but he wasn't strong enough, and when I finally released him, he staggered back and forth, groaning in pain. "I told you she's not to be trusted, Seth! She betrayed you," Serena yelled, and Seth regretted not listening to her.

I walked to the far stall, went inside, and locked it. The silence hit me like a wall. I looked at my hands. They were shaking. I wasn't a good person. I knew that now. I was a liar and a predator, and I was enjoying it. I was enjoying the way I was dismantling David Petrov’s life piece by piece. A wave of sudden, violent frustration washed over me. I turned to the tiled wall and pulled back my fist. Thump.

They really wanted to make sure I didn’t get out of this pit alive. No. I couldn’t just sit here. I couldn’t let them win. Clenching my jaw, I grabbed the edges of the trap again. And pulled. This time, I put everything I had into it. Every scrap of strength. Every ounce of anger. But it didn't budge. ‘Push harder! I'll help.’ Alina added. So I tried again, I used the last of my strength to force the trap open. Only to no avail. I collapsed back against the dirt wall of the pit, gasping for air.

The screenshot evidence on her phone changed everything, but she had no time to process it. She bolted out, running down the service corridor towards the storage area, a route she believed would lead to the back exit. However, her escape route had been modified. The steel door was now sealed by an advanced biometric lock panel. She tried pulling it, pounding it, but the door wouldn't budge. She was trapped. Right then, her phone began to vibrate violently, displaying a number she hadn't seen in a long time. Kania's instinct screamed that this was Arka.

A wave of dread washed over me as I realized I was still on Cain Island. The door swung open, and Tracy burst in, a bright smile on her face. "You're finally awake, ma'am!" she exclaimed, rushing over to sit beside me. I rubbed my temples, trying to remember what had happened. My mind was a jumble of fragmented memories and emotions. "What...what happened?" I asked, my voice shaking. Tracy's smile faltered, and she hesitated before speaking. "You've been unconscious for three days now. I don't really know the details, but they said you fainted three days ago."

I won’t fall right into his trap. Metal doors beep open and men, hefty men are running out towards the cage, growling like animals. That fucker wants me to fight men twice my size after he drugged me up? The men—five of them, are in the cage, all of them staring down at me as though I’m a piece of meat. One of Radimr’s men draws the gate to a close, locking it, trapping me with these animalistic men. And then Radimr’s voice rings out through the speakers one more time.

Hope welled up in my heart. Once I got out, I just needed to report my location, and all the young women in there would be saved. "Stop! You can't go in there!" the man shouted behind me. I didn't even turn to look at him. I ran toward the door. Just as I reached out to grab the handle, a loud buzzing filled my mind. My vision blurred. I blinked hard twice, but it didn't help. My legs gave out under me as I slumped onto the ground.
