The blade began to glow—burning blood-red, as if it already sensed the coming blood. And then the ground trembled. As though something massive stirred beneath the soil. The treetops rustled—not from wind, but from weight. Mass. In the next heartbeat, the air tore open. Something burst from the shadows. A demon. Not like Kael. This one was twisted. Its body bare and unarmored, shoulders made of bone, limbs long and agile. Its skin was yellowish, covered in a wet membrane, its eyes glowing blindly—as though it didn't see, only sensed. Sharp, whip-like tongues lashed from its mouth, and as it leapt, Rea saw only a blur of crimson. But Kael was already moving.

Its eyes glowed with an eerie, green light, and its fur was matted and unkempt. Rorik and Lyra recognized the creature immediately. It was a demon, a being of great power and darkness that had not been seen in the forest for many generations. Ziva's heart sank as she realized the full implications of their discovery. The demon was the source of the sickness that had been spreading through the forest, and it was clear that it posed a grave threat to the safety and well-being of all the forest's inhabitants. As they watched, the demon stirred and lifted its head. Its eyes locked onto the trio, and it let out a deafening roar that shook the very ground beneath their feet.

But when it came to completing his mission, he truly was a demon. Ten-year-old Theodore was given a mission in the Divine land to collect Moldavites for his spiritual awakening. So, he went to the Divine land to collect the crystal. The Divine land was the border between the demon realm and the angel realm. Since the crystal was green in color, he went near the spring water, hoping to find it. He had a hard time finding it. It was beautiful but frightening to look at, and I couldn't get past the impression the demons below lived inside a deadly weapon. Our vehicle turned, heading into the multiple suns lighting the sky. The bubble tinted softly, enough I didn't have to squint as I looked down over the vast greenery below. Had to be a rainforest, thick and dark, a winding river running through the impossibly solid canopy. "And so things have been for many generations." Grandmother's voice was that of a tour guide, cajoling and calming. "Demonicon has been at peace because of the system we have developed and the joining together of all demon planes."

I stayed still, waiting for what would happen next, snapping my head around trying to figure out where the demon was in particular. "Show yourself," I said. "Or are you afraid to face me?" I added with the little courage in me. The trees began to crack, and they were forming into a large, ugly beast I had never seen before. The demon had four eyes. Two were black, and the other remaining two were red with long, sharp nails and four horns at the top of its head. The demon was red and ready to swallow me up. And at that point, I knew I was doomed. Who would save me from my destruction, or would I save myself, I thought?

Its eyes were completely black. Its mouth was far too wide, filled with uneven, yellowed teeth. Long claws dragged against the ground as it approached the offerings, I pressed myself against the tree. I didn’t move or even try to breathe. The demon crouched fown and sniffed the meat and then the fruit. A disgusting smile spread across its face. “You remembered.” Teddy lowered his head. “We always remember.” The demon picked up the offerings. It shoved the food into a dark sack hanging from its waist.

Behind him is a wagon drove by the manticores, a demon creature with a lion body and a bird claws, a scorpion’s tail and wears a face of a mortal with a row of sharp fangs. “Bonum vesperam, this is the child.” A green daemon has appeared in front of the door holding a girl shivering in fear. It was Aria, the mortal. The Dybbuk look at her keenly from head to toe and when he felt satisfied, he tossed a bag of golds to the green daemon.

" Like i said. I am a hunter, or huntress or whatever you would like to call it. I've spent most of my entire life hunting and studying demons..." " Hunting demons?" My brows creased. By the irritated look on her face, I can tell that she does not appreciate my interruption. "Yes Dianna, demons." The way she spat out my name... Like she was talking to a child she had been trying to teach the same thing to for hours and still getting no where. But i did not put much thought into it and instead asked the next question that popped on my mind. "You mean there are other demons out there?" "Barely. But yes."

But my mom just smiled. “That’s my girl.” I smiled proudly. “But what is that?” She picked me up and walked over to her bookcase, she pulled out a really old book and opened it. On the page was a man with horns on his head and a long tail. “So, a demon is usually a very strong being. One who will use tricks and magic to punish anyone who makes them angry. Many people are afraid of them, because they are really strong and don’t show mercy to their enemies.”

I looked at him and didn’t answer “You looked at him too much… is something bothering you?” He asked me again. “No, I was just amazed at his face...look,” I said and tried to show them. “Looked at his angelic face and his eyes” And they both went closer to see more clearly. “Is there something you noticed?” I asked them “The eyes… are like a fire raging hiding behind an angelic face,” Luna answered. Brilliant. She got it right.
