Trevor Noah's Mom Novels & Stories

I retorted, "Your mom's health started failing quite a while back. I told you about it several times before, but you were just too busy taking care of the 'terminally-ill' Phillip to heed my words. That's why you were unaware of her situation for so long! "That day, I called you when the doctors were performing emergency treatment on her. However, you only picked up after multiple calls, and even then, you barely spoke to me before running off to soak in the hot springs with Phillip! Have you forgotten about that?"

Celene changed the subject when she remembered the matter. “Promise me you won’t get angry at your mom first,” Noah said, causing her to raise her brow. “What does mom have to do with anything?” She asked, puzzled. However, when she recalled Martha’s explanation that day, she began to grasp why her mother was suddenly being brought up in the conversation. “Don’t tell me Mom was the woman who mocked and provoked Martha?” “That’s right,” Noah nodded before he raised his hand to take the bartender’s attention and ask for one glass of non-alcoholic drink for himself. When he turned back to Celene, her shocked expression almost made him snort in amusement.

During a holiday, when I told my mother that my boyfriend would be coming to my house, her expression darkened. Tears welled up in her eyes as she touched my face and said in a hoarse voice, “Oh my God... Thank God you’re still alive. “Do you remember what day this is? This time, I’m not letting you die.” She acted as if she were possessed and screamed at me hysterically, “He’s a serial killer! We’ll all die if he comes today. Last time around, I was the only one left!” I believed her. I broke up with him and called the police to have him arrested. I let out a sigh of relief as I watched him get taken away, and my mother revealed a triumphant smile. She then said calmly, “That’s that.

“Look, I hope you're not in a hurry, okay? Because the story is long.” “Oh, Denise, just tell me already, I'm getting more and more curious!” “You're just like me.” She laughed. “But that's normal. Who doesn't like a good piece of gossip? And honestly, I can imagine what's going through your head, arriving at a house and finding a newborn without a mother.” “Thank goodness you understand me, Denise. Where is Noah's mother? Did she die?” “No, my dear, Noah's mother is very much alive.” “Then where is she?” I asked, curious.

Building until it grew so big it all just explodes at one momentous occasion in my kitchen. “I-I told him he wasn’t a man. That he was a lowlife for hitting a child and that no wonder your mom was sleeping with my dad. Because at least he was a real man.” Noah is talking fast, hands flying about in a frenzied state, trying to drive his explanations home. I close my eyes tight, shaking my head, willing my mind to wrap itself around what the hell is happening. Did my mom really have an affair with Noah’s dad? His parents are still married, but I know when Noah left, his dad disappeared for months.

"Okay, mom. Where is this going?" She put her hands together on her desk and sighed. "I'm telling you this because I don't want you to hear the news from anyone other than me." My hands twitched in anticipation and fear for unknown reasons. "Come on, mom. Tell me." She looked me straight in the eyes and sighed again. "Trevor is getting married to Sandy." One, two, three... I counted the numbers in my head silently to give my mother a time to retract her words but when she didn't, I knew then that she's telling the truth.

The world tilted, just slightly. She was sitting on the far bench, a scarf pulled high around her face, sunglasses covering her eyes. Still, I knew her, I’d studied her picture for years, in the one photo Noah kept in the hallway, the one he’d said was the only image he had of her before she died giving birth to him. Noah’s mother, “Vivienne Bennett”. This isn’t Estelle Bennett, this is Noah's real mom, Estelle Bennett is Noah’s stepmother who is Desmond's mother.

“Do you even know what that is? You don’t have to pretend with me, girl. There is no such thing as love.” Ava looked at Lola intensely as her eyes ran over her outfit. “Not bad.” She commented and made to speak further but a voice cut her off. “Mom?” Noah called from behind as he walked up to the two women. “Mom???”. Lola’s eyes widened in recognition of who the woman was. This beautiful bitter woman was Noah’s mother and... she hated her. No wonder she had not bothered to disguise her hatred like the others. She didn’t offer fake smiles and was thoroughly blunt with her.

He didn't even think that she would be surprised when he asked like that. "What? You- Are you okay? Why are you behaving strangely?" She asked while putting her hand on his forehead as if she was going to check whether he has a fever. But Noah was so serious at that moment. He caught her hand and looked at her seriously. "Ah... I am 28 this year, you moron" She said after seeing his kinda cold look. She was the oldest child in his family. She was his second mom for Noah. But she died before them when she was 30 years old and when Noah was 21 years old.

Kristen’s [POV] I raised my eyebrows. “And why is that?” “He told me I didn’t have a mother,” Noah said. “He said I was weird for not having a mother.” I frowned. “Dan doesn’t know what he’s talking about,” I said immediately. “You’re not weird at all.” “I told him so,” Noah said. “I told him that my mommy was coming back. And you did.” I raised my eyebrows. “Uh… Noah, sweetheart… You know that I’m not your mommy, right?”
