A Troubled Mind

A Troubled Mind

Trapped with only her thoughts and memories. Cara groaned quietly in frustration. She was restless. She scanned the room for something, anything to busy herself with. As she did her eyes landed on a crossword and sudoku book laying on her bed tray. But someone had pushed the bed tray over by the far wall. It was beyond her reach. Cara considered whether she should try to get up and retrieve the book or not for a moment. No one had told her she couldn't get up out of bed. She assumed it would be OK. Besides it would probably feel good to stretch her legs a bit.

The Trouble I Brought Home

The Trouble I Brought Home

Through the security camera, I heard Estelle muttering under her breath, "What's wrong with the lock? I need to get inside and change. Vincent's getting out today. If he sees this, I'll be in trouble." Hank looked like he still hadn't had enough. He leaned in close, pressing himself against Estelle. "What are you scared of? If he questions how you're dressed, just use it to start a fight and bring up divorce. That works perfectly."

Enticing Series 2: Trouble (English)

Enticing Series 2: Trouble (English)

“Is there some trouble?” “It only has something to do with the mafias that are staying in this city,” she answered. “It is not part of the reason why I am here, but this is the only favor I can give to the marquess of this city who has been helping me to hide Asper.” “Oh.” I nodded. “Not that I know nothing about what the palace is dealing with but be careful, okay? It is dangerous when it comes to dealing with mafias.”

Sharing A Roof With Trouble

Sharing A Roof With Trouble

“Get through dinner. Get through the first week. The rest comes later.” Ava swallowed. “I don’t want trouble.” His smile this time was different. Not cruel. Not mocking. But knowing. “You don’t have to want it,” he murmured. “Trouble finds who it wants.” Before she could ask what that was supposed to mean, he backed toward the hallway. “Oh,” he added, pausing at the doorframe. “Don’t wander around the west wing at night.” “Why?” His smirk returned—dangerous, but not playful.

Three Way Trouble

The soft and bouncy feeling was simply indescribable. So, Kerrigan was also another hussy. It seemed I'd be taking on both mother and daughter tonight. I quickly whipped up a luscious spread for dinner and told them that dinner was ready.

My Troublemaker Sugar Daddy

My Troublemaker Sugar Daddy

"Call the police. Dial 911!" Mom cursed and complained, "Your dad won't let me. That boy is a master at chess. Your dad found his match and now plays several rounds with him every night after work. When it matters the most, men are always useless. Your dad included! "New Year's is in two weeks. How are you supposed to come home like this? Bonnie, tell me the truth. You really don't owe him money? Could it be a romantic debt instead?" This was a complete disaster! An absolute disaster! Why had I not thought to disappear without a trace?

"The moon has arrived, where is the money?" "I have it." I immediately opened my bag and searched for the necklace. But to my disappointment, it was nowhere to be seen. The beat of my heart started to go loud and fast in nervousness. I remembered putting it back here! "Where is it.." I whispered and I began to panic. I continued searching. I opened every zipper and peeked at every corner but there was none. The loan sharks snorted. "Where's the money ?"

Makayla explained with a shrug. "Noted. I suppose I can't argue with that." I tapped my fingers against my cards, studying her. “My turn. Do you have any threes?” She sighed dramatically and handed over a three. “Lucky guess.” I smirked, taking the card and placing my pair on the table. “And my question for you—what’s something most people don’t know about you?” Makayla hesitated, twirling a loose strand of hair between her fingers. “Hmm… I can solve a Rubik’s cube in under two minutes.”

Bryant truly is such a gifted writer. This is another great story that is absolutely worth a read! Loved the characters/their personalities and the differences they brought to the table that balanced each other out beautifully. As always author - job well done! Cant wait for more from you :)

Great read. As always, Author Bryant keeps you on the edge of your seat. Just enough spice to be spicy but not too much. I love that everything Bryant puts in her books has a purpose. There isn’t a spicy scene just to have one. Everything builds for the storyline and characters. Another 5 star.

Treacherous

Treacherous

“You still haven’t told me about the deal with that patience from last week, what was her name, April? And also the reason for your foul mood today.” “It’s taken care of, so you need not worry.” I lied. She narrowed her eyes at me in an accusing manner, “Is it your husband?” “What?” “Is he giving you a hard time? Is that why you’ve been low today?” I rolled my eyes for having heard the same question second time today, “No, dear Emilia.” With an unconvinced expression, she shook her head, “It’s big, isn’t it?” I frowned, “What?”
