Hidden Truths

Hidden Truths

He insisted I crouch by the door to listen to their voices. "On October 6th was Xavier's birthday. I summoned the courage to tell him the truth, but he said he would only listen if I finished all the cream on the cake on the table. He knew I was allergic to cream and couldn't eat any." ... The notebook contained records of events from nearly four years. With every page I read, my body temperature dropped, and countless images flashed through my mind, like someone stabbing me with a knife, causing excruciating pain. It was him, the man I dreamed about, Xavier Quinn.

His Dangerous Truth

His Dangerous Truth

she asks. Adrian glances toward the folder of prepared answers. “Remove that.” Annabelle follows his gaze. “The communications notes?” “Yes.” “Do you want them placed in the drawer?” “I want them out of the room.” She crosses to the desk, gathers the folder, and holds it against the tablet. Adrian watches her do it and feels an unexpected relief when the pages are gone. If Julian wants to accuse him of being manufactured, Adrian will not sit across from him with manufactured answers in reach.

When I read books by this author they always play like a movie in my head. The details, the setting, the characters and the story line all flow so well. Such a talented writer. I am absolutely looking forward to reading "Jericho". Keep up the great work.

Wrecking My Husband

Wrecking My Husband

I beamed. "Crazy, isn't it?" "Fucking crazy, for real." "First, we put THE DA VINCI CODE by DAN BROWN here." He picked out the book and inserted it in the center line of the shelf. He put HOW TO STOP TIME by MATT HAIG, followed by EVERGREEN by NAOMI HIRAHARA. "Then KISS THE GIRLS by JAMES PATTERSON." He put it next to the first book. "I've read that." I went on in a spur of excitement. "It's a thriller and mystery novel about a detective who's trying to track down a serial killer. So many twists and cliffhangers. Total page-turner." I giggled.
