What were you doing at the library on a Friday afternoon?” He looked uncomfortable and rubbed the back of his neck. “I was there to look up the latest book by Jerome Patterson,” he said. Her eyes grew wide, and she asked, “You like Jerome Patterson?” He nodded and said, “I’ve read almost all of his books but haven’t gotten hold of his latest one. When I looked it up on the library website, it showed it was on the shelves, so I came down to check it out.”

The ladies all giggle and Julie stands, handing a new bookmark to each of us. "Yes. We figured we'd get you ones that suited you a little better." she says. The new one is dark blue with gold lettering that says 'Real men read dirty books'. I smile and look over at Ev who's showing Harper his excitedly. "These are great. Thank you." I say just as Bri nudges me. "Oh! Tell them your joke, love!" Harper says excitedly. Ev rolls his eyes before addressing the group.
