A Contractual Love

A Contractual Love

My voice sounded unnecessarily soft. “I miss home.” Life is a cruel thing. Unfair and most of all, it's never satisfying enough. Not for a long time. But why so? We have different expectations. Different ideas of happiness. My idea of perfection will be different than your idea. Someone craves to live the life of another person. While the exact same person idealises another person's life. This is not tragic. This is life. Unplanned, unexpected.

"Money is always available if you're open to it." I roll my eyes to the ceiling and groan. "So you're one of those people. The ones who believe in the universe giving you what you need?" If that were true, the universe hates me because my life sucks. Unless I evolved in my sleep, I'm sure I still require food and water to live.

OMG one of the BEST books I’ve read on this app. Freaking hilarious with lots of action and romance. I was literally LOL-ing. Like late at night. Laying in my bed. At 2am. Cause I couldn’t stop reading. I’m pretty sure you all know what I mean… could not stop reading!!!

Absolutely 1000% the best stories I have ever read!!! I was so hooked I have read almost 24 hours straight because I didn’t want to stop. I have laughed, smiled, been on edge when action unfolded, even shed a tear or 12 more in the last day reading this than in 40 years of daily reading. I want more

I enjoyed this story, it keeps you engaged. There were time jumps and jumps from place to place that had no explanation and were hard to follow. Also it really needs some heavy proofreading and fixing grammatical issues. good story line and loved Bash's character... why was the journal important?

Beautiful story. My only issues, although this has nothing to do with the writing but the characters themselves, is how they are both too stubborn to just be honest with their feelings. Also, idk what’s the connection to FOX. It seemed interesting but it got forgetten. Why get the journal?

REJECTED ONCE, CLAIMED TWICE

REJECTED ONCE, CLAIMED TWICE

Talk about the best things that life offers, only to be taken from you. When did I start drowning in this hellish sinkhole ? Oh yes, I remember, when Lex came in my life and asked the nerd on a date. Sinking down on the floor, against the door, I could do nothing but cry and scream of what I had become. Life robbed me of everything. Now I was going to let it rob my own life.

The Rip

The Rip

A shitty job repeating itself like a tormenting nightmare — day after day, the same bullshit, until it finally breaks you. C. A bitchy wife or girlfriend who won’t stop whining all fucking night long — the kind that makes you want to lock them in a cupboard and lose the key. D. The shit in general. The kind of relentless, soul-sucking crap that fucks you up from the inside out. Or my personal favourite… E. Just because I fucking want to. I’d love to say yes to all of the above, but I won’t. Nick was born. Joanne died. And life never really recovered after that.

I don’t care how much it costs as long as they receive the justice they deserve. I went down my newsfeed because I didn’t want to read any more fallacies. They were feeding people falsehoods to poison their minds. While scrolling down, I came across an advertisement that piqued my curiosity. Are you alive but feel dead? So why don’t you add value to your worthless life? Or perhaps are you looking for money? Why not exchange it for your life? We are seeking a new participant to join us at Live Suicide!

I'm really enjoying this book. mainly because the FL is a bad ass. even when things are bad for her ,she doesn't give up, she's not a doormat. Also while Dane's a ass, and his revenge is misplaced, is not cruel just for the sake of it. In most books the fl suffers cruelty that is sometimes...

Wu asked again and this time it was Aal that broke into tears. “I’m sick” She said, a crack in her voice. “I’m really sick, Wu and i don’t know if my new pills are going to work on me but it just feels so suffocating. So tiring and reminding that i might have lived past my lifetime or it was almost over” “Don’t say that” Wu said.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve been there—that suffocating feeling where everything seems gray and pointless. What helped me crawl out of it was tiny, deliberate acts of rebellion against the monotony. I started with absurdly small things: buying a plant I couldn’t name, walking home a different route just to see unfamiliar streets, or rewatching 'The Office' but only the episodes with Dwight. It wasn’t about grand solutions; it was about disrupting the script my brain kept replaying.

Over time, those little changes rewired my perspective. I stumbled into a used bookstore and picked up a random novel—'The Midnight Library'—which felt like fate. The book’s theme of alternate lives mirrored my own what-ifs, but it also nudged me to experiment. I journaled ugly, unfiltered thoughts, then burned the pages. Symbolic? Maybe. But the ritual of letting go physically somehow made the emotional weight lighter. Now, when I feel stuck, I ask myself: 'What’s one thing I can do today that future me might thank me for?' Even if it’s just making pancakes at midnight.
