Dear Ex, See you never
It's one of the things I love about him, he never dismisses me.
"Trust," he says finally, the word heavy. "A year ago, I didn't trust anyone except Mike. Not fully. I trusted people to do their jobs, to keep my secrets, to serve my interests. That's transactional. But I didn't trust anyone with myself, with who I really was beneath the suit and the bank accounts."
"And now?"
"Now I trust you both with everything. My fears, my failures, my ridiculous collection of vintage jazz records that I've never admitted to owning because I thought they made me look soft." He shakes his head slightly, a small, self-deprecating smile touching his lips.
