If I was blushing before, I'm red now. I shouldn't be heating up. I shouldn't be turning red. It's a nice day, a beautiful sea breeze and a few wispy clouds dotting the clear sky. My cheeks betray my dirty thoughts I pull my giant, blingy sunglasses from one of the bags and prop them on my nose. I reply and press the palms of my hands to my cheeks. The rest of the ride Gage teases me a little and I try to act all confident, when I'm really trying not to blush. I asked daringly. She stared at me with her mouth hanging a little open and a cute blush claiming her cheeks. What can I say? I can feel the blush rise to my cheeks and a small smile tug at my lips. “It’s cute when you blush. “That’s dangerous… but endearing.” Heat rushed to my cheeks, and I dropped my gaze in a futile attempt to hide the blush that bloomed there. The bubbles of giddiness rise in my chest once again at the fact that I made him blush but I push them back down for the sake of both of our feelings. I don't think I have ever made a boy blush as much as the kid sitting next to me. It was a sight that could fuel any woman's ego. "I'm sure I have," he awkwardly mumbles. He rubs his hands together to warm them up. "No, you haven't." I turn the heat up more for his sake. "I like it."

I'm not used to wearing mascara, and I'm afraid I'll end up looking like a clown. I take a deep breath and try to steady my hand. I apply the mascara with a light touch, starting at the base of my lashes and working my way up. It's not perfect, but it'll do. Next, I apply a touch of blush to my cheeks, trying to add a little color to my face.

Darius blushed furiously, averting his gaze. “Uh, yeah. Well, um,” he stumbled and cleared his throat nervously. “You see, I just…uh,” he struggled to find words as he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. “What I mean to say is…um…” he muttered, glancing back up at her.
