Jasmine gasped beside me, “Ari—” Melissa ignored her. With a snap of her fingers, three big empty kegs clattered at our feet. “Take these,” she sneered. “Go to the river by the eastern border and fetch it for me. She was happy and was sad at the same time. Melissa was happy because she made a new friend, and she was sad because she doesn't know when her mom is gonna come back and if she does,she would sti have to join the pack and become the Luna of the Alpha. She stood up and changed her clothes,she took her phone and went out of the room.she walked back to the sitting room and sat on the couch which her dad was also sitting on.

This wasn’t in the plan, you showing up like this.” Melissa’s voice was smooth, a dark chuckle escaping as she turned to face him, her eyes glinting with malice, her mic hidden under her jacket, still transmitting to the police outside. “Calm down, Dan, it’s all under control.” Her tone was mocking, her hands gesturing casually, her smile cold as she glanced at Lauren, whose tears streaked her bruised cheeks. “I went to Alex’s mansion, played the perfect little helper. Told him I was on their side, wanted to save Lauren and Emmy.” She laughed again, her voice sharp, taunting. “They ate it up, Dan, didn’t even question me.”

An air of tension hung in the room as Asher implored, "Melissa, how on earth do you know so much about that woman?" Melissa's response was laced with a certain mystery, her voice carrying the weight of the knowledge she possessed. "I have my ways, Asher," she replied, gently yet firmly disentangling her hand from his grasp, walking towards the exit.
