Turtle Wings Of Fire Novels & Stories

The scale of him forced the eye to adjust, to recalibrate what counted as a threat, what counted as a weapon. His wings unfurled behind him. Not in a single, theatrical sweep, but in a measured expansion that claimed the space as its own, the membranes stretching outward in layered arcs, catching the rising heat and bending it to his will. The edges burned in deep, smouldering crimson, not bright but dense, like coals banked beneath ancient ash, pulsing in time with the fire beneath his skin. Drifting ash caught along their span, then burned away in curling wisps, leaving no mark. These were not the wings of any bird. They were banners torn from an infernal altar and set ablaze. "But I'll have to leave right now." "No—" The word tore out of me as fire lunged up my throat again, and this time it wasn't fully contained. A thin ribbon of flame licked past my teeth, scorching the air an inch from her face. She didn't flinch. "Wait—" My wings ripped free from my back, unfurling wide enough to knock over two desks. Smoke poured from my nostrils in ragged pulses. Somewhere above the roaring in my skull, I heard the wolf girl's scent—something like pine and old rain—and it snagged on a memory I couldn't place, gone before I could grab it.

A huge red flame blast occurred and disintegrated a portion of the swarming enemies. He then saw his mother flying and continuing to bombard the enemy from above. Thousands of dark arrows were released by the enemy and it covered the sky. "Mother!" Knight began to skate faster towards his mother. "Seventh form: Wings of flame!" Magic quickly gathered on Tessia's back and took the form of four wings. She flapped her wings and it released a powerful wave of heat. It destroyed most of the dark arrows by there's still several that went past the wave and it hit some of the escaping elites.

He was just standing in the sunlight, and Ravi squinted as he saw something gleaming in the man's hand. Ravi focused his vision further to ensure that the object the man held wasn't what he thought it was. The man's hand moved, still gazing, and Ravi's eyes widened when he could see clearly. Ravi froze, subconsciously gripping Raymond's wrist tightly. He saw a shimmering sword smeared with red liquid that was undoubtedly blood. But it didn't end there. Ravi froze further without realizing it, tightening his hold on Raymond's wrist as he observed the man's wings, which were white and almost identical to Raymond's. The wings flapped, and he flew away somewhere.

- Wait until you will see your wings. Kaitlyn turned around and glared at him. - You are not helping me here. - The witch hissed while Demetria freed herself and spun around, checking what her uncle was talking about. She gasped at the sight of two massive dragon wings on her back. It seemed to be too much for her, and the girl dropped to her knees. Demetria tried to cover her face with her hands, but she glanced at the blue fire and stopped herself from doing it.

yelled Lysandros. As I did last time, I attempted to flank it from behind while those with elemental fire attacked it from the front. I could see that the witches had erected some type of protection around the frontline fighters. Hopefully, that would prevent them from getting damaged by their toxic spray. As I moved behind the closest creature, Tyler moved with me, his blade ready. The creature's iridescent wings were my target. From what I knew, the creature could not fly, but its wings were used to keep it upright, and it could use them as a weapon.

He could feel the sweat beading on his forehead as he drew close, the sting of the saltwater in his eyes as the droplets caught in his eyelashes on their passage down to his cheeks. “There is no pain,” she was as shocked by the development as he was. “The flames do not burn me.” He reached out carefully but could not touch the flames. They burnt as hot as dragon flame. “They do not burn me, but I can feel their heat,” he told her. “Flaming wings… That was… not what I expected.” “Me either,” she looked at him wild-eyed. “Do you suppose that I could…” “Yes,” he followed her gaze when she looked skywards. “Do it, Ember.”

He leaned down to whisper, “Let them all come.” He commanded the fire to burn and clamped her throat tighter to muffle her scream—now reduced to a strangled screech. His claws dug deeper into her flesh, feeling her pulsing veins. Blood trickled down, sizzling as it met the flames. The witch writhed under his grip, her sharp nails desperately scratching at his dragon arm, only to be clipped. Insects and nocturnal birds fled the scene. His fire consumed her entire body until all that was left was ashes. The woods went dark and still again.

Of course, she is a hybrid; she has the power of both her parents. We fly closer to the palace and hover with every powerful flap of our wings. More fire is directed at the palace. More pikes and large boulders are thrown at us. We fly higher out of range. We pick up speed and freefall backwards, our wings wrapped around us as we torpedo towards the palace. The wind and smoke twirling around us as we open our wings again, pushing more flames out as parts of the palace crumble and explode under the intensity of the heat.

“Get this thing off of me!” But I could not look away from the sky. The swirling shapes, dancing around one another in circles, their wings spread out wide.
