Twenty Four Eyes Novels & Stories

Two long, curled horns grow from his hairline, just above his temples, and in each ear, harshly pointed skyward, is a long earring with a small claw. None of these features, however, are as spectacular as his eyes. His eyes contain all the colors of earth--soil and sand, dappled leaves and lavender, rubies, emeralds and fine sapphires. They change as he watches me approach the table, blending and shifting between hues, never the same color from one second to the next.

Then my phone pinged and I had all the information on Electra Jones. I looked through it and the first thing I noticed was her picture... how come I never saw this? Her eyes... they are grey? Maybe stormy grey... I also have unique eyes... silver!...that's why different-colored eyes always fascinate me. I focused on other information... she is twenty-five. Two years younger than me. She left when she was twenty. She stayed in Switzerland and got her masters and Ph.D. before time. Smart! No boyfriend... good... I don't want any knight in shining armor to save her when I destroy her completely.

Even when I forgot the exact tilt of their smiles or sound if their voices I always remembered their eyes. Knew I'd recognize them anywhere. No matter how different they looked. How much they'd aged, I'd recognize those eyes on any face. Ryder's two voids that can swallow me whole. The deep bright green of Hunter's that seem to hold an entire forest. Jeremy's big grey ones that in certain lights almost look to be a dark silver. The hazel of Shade's, the amber flecked with green and blue.

He held a vicious glint and blood lust while hers, terror. Green against the grey. And just like that his eyes held hers and stared into her green eyes. He goes blank as he looked at the teen in his arm. Her teary eyes looked into his as if she had accepted her fate. His grey eyes widened slightly, clearly mesmerized by the beauty of her green orbs. His eyes make a quick assessment of her face. Tiny freckles scattered all over her nose and by its sides. Those small brown dots on her face looked clear as fresh tears kept constantly rolling down her face. Her cheeks flushed and red. She had a small pointy nose.

Xavier said. ​He finally lifted his head. In the pale gray light, his face looked completely bloodless, the dark shadow of his beard making his jawline look jagged, almost skeletal. His eyes were wide, the pupils dilated until the blue was nothing but a thin, bruised ring around the black. There was no Sovereign left in his posture. There was no billionaire. There was only the raw, unvarnished echo of the four-year-old boy who had just had his own voice weaponized against everything he had tried to protect.

FIRST PERSON POV ***** I swiftly set these thoughts aside and concentrated on the two remaining rewards. I opened the novice reward and selected the "Fiery Eyes" option. A pop-up appeared, asking, "Do you want to integrate Fiery Eyes?" with a "Confirm" button beside it. I clicked "Confirm" without hesitation. Instantly, an intense heat surged from my eyes, as if they were ablaze. I cried out, overwhelmed by the burning sensation, but it subsided within a matter of seconds.

After my eyes were plucked out, I lay on the operating table with two empty sockets on my face, resembling that of a broken doll. Samuel Sterling felt no guilt. He picked up my eyes to examine them and praised them, saying, "Daeleen was right. These really are a beautiful pair of eyes! I promised you, Daeleen. I will make all your wishes come true." As the anesthesia's effect slowly wore off, I could not help but cry out in pain. Samuel finally turned his attention to me as if blaming me for interrupting his memories of Daeleen.

Everyone else is calm and collected as if nothing out of the ordinary is going on. I glance back over at the crying infant, her little eyes filled with tears that roll down her fawn-coloured cheeks. It’s the first time I’ve seen her eyes, and I can’t help but feel surprised as I take in their appearance. They’re intense, like pools of lava formed by a dazzling gold around the pupil that bleeds into a vibrant crimson red. As a Goddess, I had expected her to be born with silver eyes like the other Gods, but instead, they are the perfect mix of her mother’s golden eyes and the blood red that once signified Oshmin’s curse.

Moonlight spilled into the room. Four men stepped into my home like they owned it. No, not men. Gods in human skin. Each of them towered over me. They were built like gods—sculpted muscle, broad shoulders, powerful arms. Their eyes shimmered with unnatural light, and their presence filled every inch of space. But there was one thing about each of them that stood out to me and deepened my fear. The eyes from my dream - five pairs of glowing eyes that stared at me from within the shadows. One set… silver. Another, ice-blue. The third, honey-gold. The fourth, deep-set golden. And the last, deepest pale eyes shimmering like death itself.
