Twisted Cravings
The sun beat down on the turquoise water, and the luxurious lounge chairs looked inviting.
I needed space to think. To remind myself that last night was a mistake. That I still hated him.
I lasted for about twenty minutes there. The sliding glass door opened. Damon stepped out in black swim trunks, towel slung over one shoulder, looking like sin. His gaze locked on me immediately.
“Trying to hide from me, Kara?” He dropped the towel and walked over, slow and purposeful. “Cute.”
“I’m not hiding. I’m relaxing.” My voice sounded weak even to me.
