Novel & Cerita Twisted Fairy Tales

In the evenings, around the hearths of home, we teach the rules by which we share this world with the brethren through story. Tales of lovers separated by misfortune, the vain punished with disfigurement, of knights enchanted into forever sleep, and of princesses locked into towers. We seek out Seers to foretell the future, and mages to bespell swords, but are wary of the Fae with their costly altruism and deceptive beauty, the mischief of household imps, and sirens who sing ship to wreckage.

He rambles, before looking back down at his laptop. Odd, I swore he told me I needed to wake up. I just shrugged it off and looked back up at the books. I stopped walking when I saw an old book that belonged to his grandma. It was a book about the wolf people. I bit my lip. I looked over at Hunter again. “Do you believe in the stories of the shapeshifters and the wolf people?” I questioned him, debating if I should tell him or not. I chew on my bottom lip.

Griffin asked in bewilderment and he sat up as he exclaimed, "Yes, up there. There is a brand new world up there, Griffin. There are Lords and Dukes and Fairies...there are fairies up there, Griffin. And I wish I could see a fairy…" "Fairies aren't real, Siren…" Griffin scoffed to chuckle when he replied, "No, they are. I'm sure they will be beautiful with long hair and lighter eyes. Their skin is illuminating with the glow…" "Looks like somebody has been reading too much Cinderella…" Griffin mumbled in a mock tone. "Uh-huh, more of a snow-white fan…" he corrected. Putting her hand on his, she looked him directly in the eyes to speak, "You are the nicest wizard I've been talking to…"

It was one of the scariest things that Clarissa had ever seen, but still, she forced herself to keep looking. “This is identical to the one in New York. They are on the same family tree and that makes it more complicated.” Archer explained. Clarissa frowned. She took the book from Archer and looked at it closely while he poured drinks for himself. Clarissa felt her blood run cold as she looked at the beast. The werewolves had it wrong. They were not separate creatures but were used by witchcraft to stir trouble. She opened her mouth to tell him this, but watching him pot a cup of hot coffee for both of them changed her mind.

Waking up today wasn’t my intention. I had a long day ahead of me and of course, I’m always the one who has to work hard. Both Torin and Cadac were laughing at me. "What?" I question them both. Torin turned me and my eyes widened at the numerous fairies fluttering about. "Fairies are real?" I gasp. "Yep, you drank fairy wine and now can see them for the night," Cadac chuckles. I smile and give him a hug, surprising him. Fairies weren't tiny either; they were the same size as an average human. Now where we have a pack, the Fairies have what is called a Frollick, but it has the same principle. They have a ranking system just like ours, starting with the leader fairy, who would be the equivalent of an Alpha and so on. Now, this is where our beliefs differ. Fairies very rarely accept a fairy that isn't a full-blooded fairy. They see them as tainted and floored, so if a fairy is ever found in one of their Frollick's that is not a full fairy they are looked down on and the tainted side will be suppressed so only the fairy is present..."
