“Have either of you done an escape room before?”
Donald shook his head, I hesitated, then followed suit.
“All right, the rules are simple,” the staff member said. “You’ll have sixty minutes. And no phones, watches, or outside items are allowed inside. Anything you need will be inside the rooms, and if you need a hint, you can request one, but it will cost you time.”
She gestured to a small locker area. “Please leave your belongings here.”
We nodded, and I handed over my purse, watching as Donald stashed his wallet and keys. As excitement suddenly bubbled up because it all started feeling like a test of wits, and I loved puzzles from those late-night app games.
