The shadow recoiled, its tendrils snapping away from us as if it were in pain. “Who are you?” I asked, my voice trembling. “I am someone who knows what the shadow truly is,” the figure said. “And I will stop it—before it destroys everything.” With that, the light engulfed us, and the shadow shrieked, its form twisting and writhing in agony. The air seemed to crack with power, and for a moment, I thought the world itself might shatter. The woman, now pale and trembling, turned and fled, disappearing into the darkness of the ruins.
