Alpha King: Please Never let me go

Alpha King: Please Never let me go

I need to punish someone. In the end, I went out to examine whether it’s dangerous to stay there or not. Diving into the forest, everything was dark and silent. The type of silent that feeds your fear until it’s full. Three miles deep in it, you are in silence so dense that you feel like wading through it. There is no birdsong, no owl sounds, just complete silence. With the chill air so thick with moisture and the moon high in the sky, I walked. Something told me that I needed to be somewhere like someone that needs my help. All the trees were speaking and calling for me to keep going.

The Island of the Silence

The Island of the Silence

Maybe because there was nothing superfluous here. No work. No screens. No constant memory of having to work. Mara put her bag down. Through the Bullauge, she could see water that slapped calmly against the hull. She came closer. And suddenly, she passed a strange silence. Not outside. Inside. It's like something stopped fighting in her. “You were really done, weren’t you?” Leonie asked quietly behind her. Mara didn't answer immediately. Then she nodded slowly. “I think I eventually forgot how to live.”

A Quiet Goodbye

A Quiet Goodbye

His eyes glazed over. His voice cracked, barely more than a whisper. "I was wrong... Don't do this. Don't be so cruel..." All that smugness—gone. Just raw, broken regret. Nobody said a word. The silence was heavy. Then Liam cut through it. "You did this, Elroy. No one else." I didn't fight it when Liam led me away. As we passed, Elroy grabbed my hand, eyes bloodshot. "Don't leave me..." he whispered.

Blood and Betrayal

Blood and Betrayal

If I gave him what he wanted—the smiles, the soft touches, the whispered endearments—the cage felt a little larger. But the silence was the worst part. When Laredo was on his calls, I wasn’t allowed to speak. I wasn’t allowed to play music or turn on the television. I sat in the sunroom, staring at the woods, listening to the buzzing of cicadas and the distant, lonely cry of a loon. The silence would ring in my ears until I began to hallucinate sounds—the phantom engine of a Jeep, the tapping of a finger on a glass pane. Toby.

Pregnant By The Billionaire

Pregnant By The Billionaire

“I can see it in your cheeks. You’re carrying too much, Mira. Not only the child.” Her words struck deeper than she perhaps intended. My grip on the cup tightened, the porcelain warming against my fingers. For a moment, I thought about telling her everything—that the silence here weighed on me like stone, that the villa’s walls seemed to close in tighter every day, that my hope felt like something fragile, already splintering. Instead, I asked quietly, “Do you ever feel… that this place is too quiet?” Her eyes flickered—quick, sharp, like lightning—and then she looked down at the tray. “Yes. The house is quiet. But silence, hija…” Her voice lowered. “…silence often hides something.”

Broken Illusions

Broken Illusions

But silence had a way of revealing the fractures. Lena stood on a dirt road just outside of Trieste, Italy. The Adriatic shimmered in the distance, blue as shattered glass. A soft wind pulled through the pine trees. She had come here without telling anyone—not Torin, not Eleni, not Jessica. Just her and the coordinates etched onto a note left in her old office the night after the mirror died. A single line: “He isn’t gone. He’s forgotten. That’s worse.” She found the house.

The silence between us

The silence between us

Chapter 6: The Weight of Silence The car moved steadily through the quiet night. The city lights glared past the windows. The roads were less crowded now, the noise of the conference long left behind. Inside the car, the silence felt heavy. Marcus sat on the driver's seat. His hands rested firmly on the steering wheel, his posture straight, eyes fixed on the road ahead. He had learned over the years when to speak and when not to. In the back seat, Lucas sat slightly turned to the side.

Silence Under the Moonlight

Silence Under the Moonlight

" Shane closed his eyes in pain. His head hung low, and his voice was hoarse. "I know it's all my fault. "I just hope I can stay by your side. "I don't mind being treated like a stranger. I'll just watch over you two in silence." I said nothing. After turning around, I walked to the window and watched the sky gradually turn dark. "Leave, and don't come back." Shane stood frozen there for a long moment. Only when I repeated my dismissal did he stagger away. His silhouette with the scenery of sunset behind him looked lonely and desolate.

His silent voice.

His silent voice.

Was she still cautious of Dylan, even when he sat between them? “You say you're a dragon right?” Dylan resumed his question, carefully lowering his tone even more. “Yeah.” “You don't happen to be able to hear voices from far away, do you? Like, really far.” “Actually, I do.” Lana got serious. “How far away?” Dylan squinted. “Far enough to hear what goes on in the third room on the left.” Lana perked her ears, her eyes falling to the ground as she listened in. “I can.” She replied and he found his lips mouth pout in surprise.

I am in love with this book! I am hoping that Kyle will increase his powers with his mate so that he can kick that evil witch in the butt.(Without spoiling the read). I think that a little more steam is needed. The steam that we did get was top-notch.
