Footsteps came towards him, and Emmet looked up to see a young woman, wearing some sort of uniform, looking down at him.
Her face, Emmet thought to himself, looked almost exactly like his own. If she were a man, and had a different eye colour, then she could pass as his identical twin.
Her hair was exactly as straight as his own, let loose as his own as well; her skin colour the exact same shade as his; the slope of their noses mirrored each others, even the slight point at the ends where they arched up slightly; the curved and narrowed shapes of their eyes; and the thinness of their pale, dry lips. It almost looked uncanny to Emmet, before he remembered that he was currently in the past.
