ENTRAPPED BY THE DEVIL
The vibrant colors of blooming flowers and the sweet scent of nature wrap around us, a stark contrast to the tightness inside me.
We find a quiet spot under a grand oak tree. The rustling leaves overhead and the distant chirping of birds provide a soothing setting for the conversation. I take a deep breath, trying to collect my thoughts.
Uncle Diego leans against the tree, studying me with a knowing expression. He is wearing a simple white shirt, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, revealing a network of tattoos that are beyond me. I try not to get distracted by them.
“So, what’s this about, kiddo?” he asks casually, pulling me out of my racing thoughts.
