The Silver Pact
I stood up, drawing my second silver dagger, and took in my surroundings.
The Underworld was a bleak, terrifying waste of ash, black volcanic glass, and jagged bone-white obelisks stretching endlessly into a sky devoid of stars. The air was thick with the suffocating stench of sulfur, ozone, and ancient rot. Swirling clouds of pale violet mist rolled across the barren landscape, obscuring the horizon in a veil of perpetual shadow.
