Underworld: Rise Of The Lycans Novels & Stories

The few left ran deep into the forests, leaving their lands behind in an attempt to flee the curse. That was the last anyone saw of the Lycans, and gradually, they faded from the surface of the earth. Centuries later, the legend still stands. A prophecy told from one generation to the other, in the Red Moon Pack. 'A time will come when the Lycans will rise from the shadows and take their vengeance against the Red Moon Pack. Killing everything that breathes and wiping them off the surface of the earth. When that day comes...only a child blessed by the Moon goddess herself can save the pack from death.'

I shot him a small, polite smile. "Coming right up, Rick." I replied. Rick was an Other, but he was one of the good ones. And I gotta say, there were only a few of them, the good ones. But the thing was, the Others owned Black Creekside Town. They were more or less the landlords of this city. That didn't mean you couldn't find other breeds here though. There were shifters, witches, warlocks, vampires, panthers, werewolves and of course, humans.

Shadows slithered like smoke, and the walls pulsed faintly, alive with something ancient. At the far end, on a throne carved of obsidian and human bones, a demon stirred. His eyes burned like twin suns in a pit of flame. “This,” Lyra whispered, her light the only thing keeping the dark at bay, “is where it all began.” Ryker’s breath misted in the cold air. “Where what began?” “The first Lycan,” she said. “The blood that runs through our veins was not born in the North. It was born here — in the Mayan underworld.”

The handwriting is familiar, bringing relief to me and Joy both as it is the exact page we have been rummaging around for; but why is it in the fire place. I recall the last page we had read together and fill it into the sentence accordingly. “A male Lycan can lose his power if he has sex with a virgin werewolf on the full moon, unless..” I leaned in to read the scrap of paper, entranced with it, “the male Lycan has found his one, promised mate. Lycan’s cannot reject or find another fated—they are trapped at the bond of which their power source will surge forever. Their one true mate.”

“And you only kill people who deserve it.” Leah narrowed her eyes. “Wait. Lycans and werewolves are the same, right? And he’s the king? He doesn’t look old enough to be your dad.” “No!” the three of us shouted in unison. Isaac scrubbed his hand over his face and let out an exasperated sigh. “Lycans are more powerful, immortal shifters. Different royalty lines.” “But he’s old enough to be her dad,” Blair giggled. “And they’re fated mates! The GoodNovel kind!”

His large, sturdy fingers touched my shirt and then tore it. “DADDY, PLEASE!” Corrine screamed, tears streaming down her face. Cries soon drowned her voice out. I closed my eyes and prepared to embrace my death. Then something happened. Like a sudden storm, chaos erupted around us as dozens of lycans appeared and attacked the werewolves. The sudden attack caused the werewolves to panic and scatter. The warriors shifted and began to fight the lycans. I took advantage of the situation to attack the warriors holding me and knocked them out.

I couldn’t help the laugh that shook my body. “You have to be wrong; my parents are too old and stodgy to hunt anything! Besides, I sucked Jimmy’s blood. Werewolves don’t suck blood in the movies.” Roman rolled his eyes, not even attempting to keep his irritation out of his face. “Look, you are a Lycan, part of an ancient race that is indeed part wolf, and part blood sucker. Our heritage goes back thousands of years. We have a longer life span than regular wolves and vamps, and we are also stronger. However, we are not sparkly, nor do we war with the other races. This isn’t a book or a fairy tale.”

Alexander said in a deep voice, “Got it?” The Underworlders nodded. Despite them being split between wanting the Lady to crown the Dark Lord and wanting to kill the Lady, they all at least agreed on one thing. That no one shall take what is theirs. They were Underworlders. Creatures that hid from the day and basked themselves in darkness. Creatures that did not belong in both Heaven and Hell. They were in the precipice of existing and not existing. But what is theirs shall always be theirs. “The Lady is ours,” Alexander said again.

“The Lycan World has an atmosphere made of 40% oxygen, 15% carbon dioxide, and 45% Nitrogen, which is similar to earth. The data from a space probe indicates that there may be forests and water too. The probability of finding life there is very high. Gosh! I can’t wait to get into the orbit. #### @ IN THE LYCAN WORLD@#### A group of about twenty men was seated in a circle around a bonfire; the flames lapping high into the sky. They were all tall and well built, exuding a powerful aura. They had a wild look about them, long beard and unruly hair, but their eyes glowed with confidence.

Unlike a traditional werewolf who can only transform unwillingly under the full moon, the Lycan has complete control over their transformation at any given time. When a female Lycan gives birth, most of her pups will be boys. The adult males discovered that finding a mate with other wolves is difficult. There are just not enough females to go around and many of the males detect a match in a human. Each male Lycan is destined to have at least one mate; a soulmate who was deemed worthy for them by the Gods of War. The same is said for the female Lycans except, it is the Triple Moon Goddesses who choose the male deemed worthy. As the term applies, these mates are bonded by soul and fate will al
