The cavern shook. And the Warlords’ horns went silent. The Warlords came at dawn. Five of them. Each one a Blood Moon lord who’d ruled their own territory for centuries. Each one hungry for Valen’s throne. They didn’t knock. They attacked. The courtyard exploded as the first Warlord shifted mid-air. 10 feet tall, bones like blades, red eyes burning. “Valen is weak!” the Warlord roared. “The girl is untested! We take the Court now!”

"Activate the Scorched-Earth plan." The voice on the other end, which belonged to his most loyal subordinate, sounded hesitant. "M-Mr. Freeman, the signal is unstable–" The call was disconnected. He immediately called the trusted aide he had planted inside the board, but a secretary's cold voice came through. "Sorry, he is currently in a meeting with Steve." The call was disconnected yet again. Finally, he called the bank manager in Ravendale, but all he heard was an emotionless robotic voice. "Your security authorization has been revoked."

Since he wanted to ask a question, naturally, nobody would refuse him. An alien race called the Undying Clan is madly invading the universe. The number of undead creatures is too great, and their combat power isn’t weak. Regular attacks are ineffective against them. Buddhist and holy-attributed attacks can inflict permanent damage. “I would like to ask you all. What is the solution to this situation? “After all, my homeland is currently suffering the calamity. Under such circumstances, I can’t stay here to help you guys for a long time. Most importantly, I may not be alive to come here next time...”

It's pretty cool, though. "That's crazy. I didn't think there was anything behind it." I hear Raven whisper from her chair next to me. Atleast we are all pretty shocked by this and it's not just me. "Yes, it's interesting information, but it's not important right now. Any other questions about your appearance or can I continue?" We all shake our heads to let him know we don't have any more questions. "Ok, so more about the prophecy. In the prophecy it states that there is a war upon us that will forever change the fate of the werewolf population. It will be a war between the Rogues and peaceful packs. If the rogues win, our world will be tossed into chaos that's filled with death and misery.

She asked loudly, waiting for him specifically to answer. War sighed, hating how all of this was turning out. His wolf just wanted to grab their mate and go but unfortunately, it was just not that easy. Not to mention she was upset. "Pomelia is my mate...my name is War from Bane pack," he explained to her, knowing he should just get that out of the way immediately. Bane pack was infamous...not a place where anyone wanted to brag about, at least not in such a holy place.

"You do not negotiate with terrorists. And you certainly do not offer yourself as a martyr to assuage your own crippling guilt. You are the tactical anchor of this pack. If you die, the Vanguard breaks. If the Vanguard breaks, my Legion is flanked, and we all die in the snow." ​I pointed a black-gauntleted finger directly at his chest, tapping the bruised muscle over his heart. ​"I am the Warlord of this army. You gave me a command. That makes you my asset. And I do not trade my assets to leeches. Is that understood?"

“Because he’s hot? Because he talks pretty when he’s not dodging questions? You don’t even know who he is.” “I do,” I said softly. Both James and Sadie looked at me. Sadie blinked. “You what?” “I looked him up,” I admitted. “The day after we got married.” Misha’s jaw ticked, but he stayed quiet. Sadie frowned. “What do you mean you looked him up?” I hesitated, then said it. “He was called the Warlord. A battlefield legend. There are forums about him. Articles, classified leaks, ghost reports from conflict zones. People called him a myth. Some didn’t believe he was real.”

He continued, “King Andres is one of the last lycans and immensely powerful. He is a terrifying warlord.” “I see…” I nodded, and his face came into view. The handsome man with a dangerous aura—Hold on, I blinked in sudden realization. “A warlord?” I gasped, looking up at Papa, who nodded silently, seemingly lost in deep thought. From what I have learned, wars had been stopped a long while back. Not even my grandfather had seen wars. But Papa just claimed the current Lycan king as the terrifying warlord. How is that even possible? Confused, I again turned to my father. “How so, Papa?” I questioned, curious to learn more about the man who seems to have more than he shows. “How is he a warlord?

He said that each House had their own armies and since the leaders of those Houses had gone against him, there was a high probability that the armies of these Houses would turn against him on the battlefield. So the war was beyond fighting the Rebellion, which was Alaris; it was also about fighting the Houses. “I need an army of my own, strong. An army of undead dragon shifters. One is unstoppable, imagine a hundred of them. They will be more than enough to win us this war.” By Ignas, what?! An army that couldn't be killed?! “Why?” Belladonna asked quickly. “We can create shadow warriors if we acquire both gems. We already have one.”
