The morning sun streams its way through the blinds, slowly creeping across the carpet until it remains on Sera's face like a spotlight. The light is a gentle reminder that it's time to wake up. Sera rolls over to face the wall and escape the sun, which is growing brighter and brighter by the minute. She finds herself unable to wake from this new dream. For months, the handsome stranger was just out of reach, and now she can feel him somewhere within the deepest parts of her. She refuses to let that go. Alyssa exclaimed after seeing all the things on a particular page. "What Is it, Alyssa?" Asked Berk worried. "Don't worry Berk everything is going to be fine, let's go," replied Alyssa as she keeps the book on the floor. "Are we done?" Berk asked surprised. "Yes we are," Alyssa replied and they both left the room. As soon as they turned and left the room, the book closes back by itself, and the book cover reads; 'THE BOOK OF SHADOWS' and then the book disappears. . .

A U T H O R N O T E I wanted to address the few comments I've received from people frustrated with me only posting a chapter at a time. When Rude Awakenings was signed three months ago, I had just given birth to my third child. I vastly underestimated how popular it would be, and thought I would have a lot more time to write a sequel. Seeing the overwhelming response for Book Two, I made the decision to post my chapters as I write them. Believe me when I say I completely understand how frustrating it is to wait for a chapter, especially when you are so engrossed in a story, but I wanted you all to know that every piece of spare time I have, is spent writing this book. I'm trying my hardest

Eliza didn’t need to open her eyes to know where she was. She shivered from the cool pre-dawn dew that settled thick on her bare flesh as she slowly sat up. Although not as horrendous as the month before, sledgehammers steadily banged against the interior of her skull as her surroundings slowly came into focus. Her mouth was so parched that it felt like it was lined with sandpaper. She struggled to produce sufficient saliva to moisten it enough for her tongue to move freely.

“Care to know where you are going?” I hadn’t spoken so how did he know I was awake? Again, I choose to keep my mouth shut, it was better for him to think that I was out of it. Alwin suddenly drops me to the ground. My neck cracked as I hit the floor head first sending a stabbing pain through my spine. My body sprawls forward as I land on my stomach with a dull thud. I try to keep my eyes wide and blink a lot to make him think that I was in a state of confusion when he suddenly kicks me in the ribs, knocking the air out of me.

So for me to feel this way about a guy is hard enough, but a guy that’s not my race is worse; he will die before me, and I will feel that pain tenfold, but if he doesn’t feel the same for me, if we do not get our time together, then I will be doomed to a life of misery.
