She clicked the number of one of the service provider she knew. “Hello.” She said frantically. “Hello, Ma’am.” The female service provider replied in her usual polite tone. “Hmm, can you help me to trace this number? I need it urgently.” She said. “Okay, ma. Please call it.” She replied. Nicole called the number and the line was on hold but it soon returned. “Hello, Ma’am. This number does not exist on our records. Thank you!” The servuce provider said and disconnected the call.

Single message from an outside number I didn't recognize. I opened it. Four words. “We need to talk.” The sender ID resolved after a three second delay. Elder Maren.

I thought maybe it had something to do with the club, so I was friendly but wary. I hoped it wasn't a telemarketer. I didn't need to renew my expired car warranty. "My name is Dale Ignasis. My phone kept vibrating nonstop with notification sounds. Faith stood up and asked, "Messages from Rita?" I glanced at the contact name and nodded. The corners of her lips curved upward into a smile.
