“Me either,” I admitted, though I wished it wasn’t true. “Come on. Let’s open this thing.” Settling back on my heels, I brushed off a few layers of dirt and foliage and went to pry the lid open. “It’s locked,” I huffed, holding the combination padlock between my thumb and forefinger.
“Hang on.” Scarlett’s brow creased, and then she said, crisp and clear: “Four, four, six, seven.” Then she nodded at me. “Try that.”
