My Hockey Alpha

My Hockey Alpha

The vendor handed us a small candle to place inside. Enzo carefully lit the candle, and we watched as the lantern slowly filled with air, growing brighter. “Ready?” he asked. “Ready,” I replied, feeling a sense of excitement. Together, we released the lantern, watching as it rose into the night sky, its light joining the others already floating up high. It was a breathtaking sight, the lanterns like stars against the dark canvas of the night. I turned to Enzo, about to comment on the beauty of it all, but the words died on my lips. He was looking at me, his eyes reflecting the lantern’s light, filled with an emotion I couldn’t quite place.

Love this story. It is thrillingly mysterious. The love and lust is palpable. Some of it seems to be written a little immaturely. Maybe that's how the character arc was supposed to relay, and we feel them mature. There are also 2 chapters that are repeated almost verbatim. Otherwise,I'd give 5 stars

This book is so good! I love how complex it is. I’ve been reading it for the past two weeks and just finished it! I’m so sad and so badly hope the author is writing more chapters as I speak! I’ve had a lot going on in my life and head and this book has been the best to help! My bf is jealous of it!

“Marked as Property, Stolen by the Alpha”

“Marked as Property, Stolen by the Alpha”

Unlike the others, this one contained no flame. Only clear light. She held it out toward me. "I believe..." She smiled warmly. "...this belongs with travelers." I accepted it carefully. The lantern felt surprisingly light. Yet somehow... important. "What is it?" "The Lantern of Beginnings." The room fell silent. "It doesn't show the safest road." She laughed softly. "It shows the first step." I looked into the clear crystal. For a moment, I saw nothing. Then... far within its depths... a tiny golden path appeared.

She picked up the bottle, but somebody flashed the light at her face which made her uncomfortable. "You! come at me without the light, it's easy for me that way," She said while covering her eyes with the back of her hand. "And here I thought somebody might have abducted you." Ethan spoke as he stepped closer to her. "I know that voice, it is,huh? noooooo!!!! 'More humiliation? Today has got to be the most unlucky day of my life? ' Elsa screamed internally, she was still busy cursing herself when she felt a light touch on her face

" Whoaaah! Wow!" Liana walked around touching each lantern as she passed, checking the name engraved over it. She stopped when she reached the one that read Draco's name. The moment she touched it, she thought she saw it flicker. She turned towards the hooded lady to confirm. " Careful, " that was the word she uttered. " Why? Did I do anything wrong? " Liana immediately moved away, afraid she might have done something offensive. " These are Life Lanterns. It is connected to it's owner's soul. It reacts ... "

Ericson's aide. Her hands swung swiftly against the other and a matchstick went ablaze, the orange fireball slowly descending down the matchstick whilst swaying left and right like a kid learning to ride a bicycle. She adeptly swung the matchstick into a glass orb and a kerosene lantern began to glow as a orange flame with a bluish base danced in it, shielded from external forces that could extinguish it like the wind. Trisha who already had her head soaring above a shelf of books as she watched Mrs. Perry sunk her head when the lantern Mrs. Perry held danced before her.

It was the kind of lantern that campers use. These lanterns did not have a high risk of going out, so the sight of them was very reassuring. She refused to glance down and instead concentrated on the next step at hand, but she soon exhausted her supply of metal stakes, leaving her with nowhere to go and the ground a considerable distance away.

Broken Season

Broken Season

However, before Lucas could move, Luna immediately grabbed his wrist again. "Don't leave me alone," Luna pleaded, and Lucas smiled gently at her, calming her fear. "Alright, hold my hand," Lucas said, leading Luna to another side of the barn to search for something they could use to light up their night. Fortunately, there were torches fixed to the walls on each side of the barn, providing some light. Lucas reached into his jacket pocket, and Luna thought he was grabbing a lighter. True enough, Lucas lit a match, igniting the torches around them. Luna finally felt a bit relieved as the torchlight offered some illumination, even though it was dim.

Then they turned and disappeared into the woods no trail, no sound like they’d never been there at all. 10. A Lantern for the Unseen That night, before we slept, we lit a small lantern and placed it beside the mirror. Not to honor ourselves. But to honor every thread that had been cut too soon. Every version of ourselves that might have healed. Every path left unwalked not by failure, but by silence. And the mirror just for a moment glowed gold.

The Demon's Mate

El said before removing the pin and trying again, but the result was the same—five different colors. "Maybe the lantern is broken," one of the men spoke, and they all agreed. El-Kharis sent Levy to bring another one, and when they did the process again, the result was still the same. El-Kharis carried the lantern, staring at it intently. He then turned to Esteria, confusion evident in his eyes. "I will be back," he said, leaving Esteria more puzzled. Why was the lantern showing five different colors instead of one, as they had said? Was it because she was human?
