Astraen did not answer immediately. Instead, he stopped beside an enormous stone table in the center of the chamber. The surface was covered with ancient maps and faded star charts. He brushed dust away from one of them. The chart revealed a sky filled with glowing moons. Twelve bright ones. And one dark one. Lyra leaned closer. The dark moon was drawn differently from the others—its surface cracked with jagged lines, surrounded by strange symbols that Lyra had never seen before. “What is that writing?” she asked.

The walls are a medium yellow, with one wall having a light blue flower wallpaper design. There’s a little eat in dining area, with four chairs and then a bench on the far side. It’s absolutely cozy and welcoming. The wall behind it has a wrought iron piece of a wolf howling at the moon and the insignia for the Midnight Moon pack. I recognize it from several similar pieces that are in their packhouse.
