oh. In the middle of his legs on the bed, the flyer glows. A faint, eerie shimmer at the back. A sun symbol. Save the planet from vampires. Valentine’s eyes widen. He looks at Achilles. Something unspoken passes between them. Valentine exhales sharply. “This is impossible.” He flips the flyer over, inspecting it like it might bite. His expression is unreadable. Achilles clenches his jaw. “I haven’t heard about them for a decade.”

Bryan hasn't texted since this morning's curt "Running late. Start without me if you want." On Valentine's Day. Our fifth anniversary. I poured a drink. Then I poured one more. The bubbles hurt my throat. I looked out the big window. The city shimmered below, thousands of tiny lights glowing like fallen stars. The room is very expensive and it beats the cost of my dress. Bryan chose it because he wanted to show our love off. "I'm sorry I've been distant. I know work has been stressful for you. I'll try harder to understand." I soliloquized, memorizing the words I've rehearsed all week.

"Absolutely. City Hall. Small ceremony. Just family. Then the botanical garden thing is just a party." "When?" "When do you want?" Zara thought. "Valentine's Day. February 14th. Two months from now. Small and romantic and just ours." "Valentine's Day. I love it." Marcus grinned. "So we'll be married for two months before anyone else knows?" "Well, family will know. But everyone else thinks we're getting married in April." "Scandalous. I love it." "Is that okay? Having two ceremonies?" "It's perfect. The City Hall one is for us. The real one. The botanical garden one is for everyone else. Best of both worlds."

Geremia replied. "Wait a minute! You guys areń fazed out about me being gay?" Valerie asked. Dante gave him an unimpressed look. "you went on your first assassination mission when you were seven years old and you succeeded and you expect us to be shocked about a simple thing like your sexuality?" he asked Valerie. "Well when you put it like that, my sexuality doesn't seem so special anymore" Valerie replied. "Dante, when is the wedding happening?" Geremia asked. "I was thinking two months time" Dante replied.

I remember him saying he worked out when we were in Garret's office but I didn't know it wasn't a freaking joke. "Wait, it says February 14th I have to go help...reconstruct a preschool hit by a tornado, Keplin Preschool?" "Yes." He frowned at me over the Laptop "Do you not know what day that is?" He asked. I took the laptop from him and looked at the date "Yes, it seems to be a Tuesday.." And in that moment, Sebastian began laughing loudly. So loud I found it almost insulting. "What's so funny?" "Seriously? Oh my God, I never thought of you that hopeless. Valentines Day, the day of love? You know, Cupid and all of that stuff."
