Vampire Candle Novels & Stories

"It'll be over soon." The vampire staggered, clawing desperately at the burning iron. Black ichor spurted as he crashed into torch sconces—flames scattered like dying stars. Ancient tapestries caught fire, filling the chamber with acrid smoke and dancing shadows. "You... what are you?" the vampire gasped, his struggles growing weaker. Caelum's smile was beautiful and cold as winter moonlight. "Your death." The creature's form went limp, crumpling to blood-slicked stones. But Caelum wasn't finished. His gaze swept the chamber until it fixed upon a broken torch bracket. In one fluid motion he seized the improvised stake.

I wanted to see that place. It was just two hours into day break, everyone had gone to sleep. I hurried into the kitchen and drank a whole bottle of a special liquid Edmund and Hillary introduced to us. It was called vamscren and it allowed vampires to walk in the sun for a while without being affected by it. Somehow, vamscren made me feel a bit better about becoming a vampire as I didn’t have to always be limited by the sun. The vamscren was made from dragon tears and Edmund and Hillary, along with Dana, arranged with the manufacturers to always supply it to the castle, so we never ran out. After drinking, I got my cloak and flew out of the castle, to see my former town.

With a blink of an eye, he was at the entrance of the den, he entered and walked through the walls covered in cobwebs and flickering candles, casting his reflection across the stale air. Thick red velvet curtains adorn the windows and fluttered with the wind, Pascal stepped forward and stood before four vampires. His gaze was cold as he studied them, and the colours of their eyes changed to a deep scarlet, a sign of impending violence. "A werewolf in our den?" one of them growled in annoyance. Pascal darted at them with a speed faster than sound, low groans and moans escaped their mouths, and they fell making flesh thuds. Pascal moved swiftly, killing all the vampires he saw on his way until

There is no doubt, that these are newborn vampirs. It is a rare chance you will encounter their kind. Especially a lot of them. Newborn vampirs tend to be so wild and destructive. They will become so thirsty for blood to the point that they will totally lose their minds. What has shocked me most are the torches of fire they were holding, they just became more dangerous because of it. Vampires can only be destroyed in three ways. Direct sunlight, a stake through the heart... and fire. From all of those, fire is what scares me the most.

Her hair, as usual, was wild, and an apron was tied to her waist with purple bruises all over her body as she lit up the candles. Each one had a carved symbol of a blood moon on its body. The candle represented something ominous in the pack. Only witches used it for rituals. She was definitely not going to sacrifice or hell drink my blood. Whatever witches did these days. The light from the candle made it easier to see my pimp’s face. Her eyes were closed tight and her hands lifted up in a prayer. “Sanguis… Vinctum… Aperire…” She said in a strange language. My eyes caught a painting of two werewolves drawn near a blood moon with a girl in the middle with fierce eyes.

The gesture didn't go unnoticed by Elena, whose eyes narrowed dangerously. "Oh, I'd love to hear this explanation," Elena purred, leaning forward. The candle on their table flickered, casting ominous shadows across her face. "Do tell us, Lily dear, how you've managed to overcome centuries of hatred in just a few days." Lily took a deep breath, the scent of sandalwood and vanilla from the bar's incense mingling with the metallic tang of blood that always seemed to cling to vampires. She met Elena's piercing gaze, steeling herself for the revelation.

Master Vampire’s House (Southern Svetyland) •T–––M–––V–––P–––L• In the dimly lit room, the flickering candlelight cast elongated shadows across the chamber. Darius lay sprawled on his king-sized bed, his strawberry-blonde hair tousled as he savored the warmth of freshly drawn blood from a golden chalice. Beside him, a half-naked red-haired female trailed her lips across his chiseled torso, her hands eagerly exploring every inch of his cool, pale skin.

She had done all she could to locate the vampire, and now all that was left to do was wait and see what happened next. They all sat in silence for a few moments, her eyes fixed on the candle flame. As she watched, the flame began to flicker and dance, and the room seemed to fill with a strange, magical energy. Suddenly, she felt a chill run down her spine and she knew that the vampire had been located. She had done it! She had used the black candle, the missing vampire personal belongings and the red thread to locate the vampire, and her spell had worked!

I knew how important it was for me to feed, however, and I needed to do it more often. "Tyler's on a job," I said. "She'll visit me when it's complete." Tony raised a brow. He never stayed around when Tyler was on the premises. She was my Angel of Death. Tyler is a human, but she gave Vampires the willies because she had turned herself into a religious vessel. Any Vampire who so much as touched her would burn as if he or she had touched a religious icon or relic. She had gotten the idea from me. I had burned two crucifixes into my wrists to brand anyone who attacked me. A Vampire branded by a crucifix earned an instant death sentence—except for me and a handful of others.
