Vampire Diaries Wolfsbane Novels & Stories

“What’s going on, doctor?” Alpha Ulric said. “It’s the wolfsbane,” Dr. Boman said. “I don’t know if a pregnancy would have taken hold, but the wolfsbane reacted to the werewolf semen inside her. It made her body identify it as poison, and now it has to expel it. This is a bad time to be losing more blood. We don’t have any more to give her.” “Would the blood of unshifted wolves work?”

Even Kristen, who has work dealings with Alvar, has faced her sarcasm. "A crazy mad bitch," Kristen sums up with an eye roll. Gosh! I can't imagine a woman being this crazy over a man! She seems normal though. After listening to Kristen's gossip about Cecilia, we exchange our numbers. She teaches me how to send messages and look up stuff online, which I struggle with. She explains wolfsbane to me—how it poisons a werewolf or, more seriously, causes them to bound their wolf power or die. For a werewolf, wolfsbane is nearly insurmountable unless there's a very powerful healer. And Kristen doesn't know much about detoxify.

Wolfsbane was a plant found in the woods that could temporarily take away a werewolf’s power and leave them human, while it was still in her system, she wouldn’t be able to heal or regenerate, and that was exactly the plan. She knew that Logan would have a small quantity of it in every room, it was a measure taken to weaken and suppress the werewolf abilities to an extent when living with humans, to ensure that they do not expose their identities by accident. Also, Alphas keep it close to them in case their betas or omegas went rogue, they use it to keep the lesser ranked wolves in check if they went rogue during full moon nights or otherwise.

“If my guess is correct, the sandwich, the water we drank, the dinner, everything Caleb offered so far, is contaminated with Wolfbane.” My heart raced. I knew what Wolf Bane was. It was a poisonous plant, deadly to werewolves. It could weaken them enough to capture them or, in higher doses, lead them to death. “Wolfbane? But why?” I asked, looking at Hunter. Hunter gave a piercing look to Caleb. “To weaken us, capture us, or even kill us.” Caleb, incredulous, rejected Hunter's accusations. “You're out of your mind, Hunter. I would never do something like that.”

But as I ended the call, a deep sense of unease settled over me. Dimitri wasn’t just trying to hold onto power. He was about to unleash something monstrous. I gritted my teeth, my heart pounding as the weight of Elijah’s words settled in. Pure wolfsbane was already lethal—one of the deadliest poisons to werewolves, capable of shutting down our systems, burning through our veins like liquid fire. Just a mere whiff of it in the air was enough to weaken us, slow our reflexes. But modifying it? Enhancing it?

My eyes widened and my mind was curious when he said that. I nod my head, letting him explain the whole information. "Vampires were behind his accident. Someone pushed him from the back and intentionally threw him down the cliff where they had harvested the wolfsbane from the beginning. Everything was planned, my lady." He responded. How dare scheme inside my own territory? How dare they hurt my Dad? Enough of their disgusting schemes. I don't want to wait for one more day. They will know who I am and whom they have offended.

The room felt less ventilated. No one was settled; everyone had gloomy looks on their faces. Fear spelled itself out clearly in our eyes as we watched Teagan groan in pain. Wolfsbane is also known as a toxic plant that spells death for werewolves. It has the power to prevent them from transforming into their wolf form, weaken them, or, in the extreme, eliminate them. It was the best-known poison that all werewolves ran from. Its power most graciously gave a surprise toxin; none stood before it.

I took a deep breath and continued, “But I do have one favor to ask. Can I please have some wolfsbane?” She looked back up, meeting my eyes, studying me, and cocking her head to the side. While she was human, Hugo told me that she knew about our kind. He and my mom were not the only werewolves she employed. “What do you need wolfsbane for?” “It’s personal.” I wasn’t telling her shit. “What form do you want it in?” “What forms does it come in?” “The two most common are dehydrated and a concentrated liquid—usually we sell the liquid form in darts.”

Kral looked up with difficulty and said to Alen calmly, "That woman put some wolfsbane in her fingers. There are doctors in the palace. Don't make a fuss." Wolfsbane was an herb that specifically targeted the werewolf system. As long as the werewolf drank it or got it in his wound, the toxin would immediately attack his body. The werewolf would develop a high fever and become weak, and his blood would turn dark purple. If not treated properly, they may even die. "But..." Alen wanted to say something, but Kral's piercing eyes warned him, and he shut his mouth. I watched the hair on his forehead get wet with sweat. His cold face was gaunt with weakness, and his body seemed to stand with diffic

“I want you to stay as far away from him as humanly possible. I don’t want you digging deep into this. I could get you some money, and you can leave the city—” “You know, he warned me you would say something like this. He told me about how good the wolves are at brainwashing humans. They’ve brainwashed you too Tessa, and now you’re playing for the wrong side. I won’t let them cause any more damage than they already have. I’m going to help you.” “You don’t understand anything.” “I do!” I understand everything, and that’s why you have to trust me on this one.” She walked to one of the kitchen drawers, took out a small vial, and placed it on the counter. “This is wolfsbane, it’s very deadly to
