The man shuffled his foot. “This is the part where you introduce yourself as well.” His Romanian accent excites her to her core, but she quickly shakes her head. “I’m nobody.” She replied and he gave her a smirked look. “You aren’t though.” He eyed her softly before locking gaze with each other. For a moment, both of their hearts picked up in pace but the man quickly stepped back and averted his attention. “You’re some kind of demon.” He hissed.

Chuckling he took my fingers in his hand and started to move it against the cards randomly, closing his eyes and chanting something between his lips. "Seriously, I will pick one, please not this bullcrap," I pull my fingers away and randomly pick a card and place it in his hands. "Ha!" I shrieked when his voice beamed around us. Lowering the card away from his face he turned the card towards. I narrowed my eyes on the card. "Beast, " His voice bellowed behind him as I was met with a black coloured card, a serene moon shining down the lake and a majestic wolf standing by the lake looking upon the moon.

He thought about her, he was so close to her today and she wasn't even afraid of him after telling her what he was, he listened to her heartbeat and it didn't increase, her heart still beat normally. Her scent lingered on him from sitting in her chair and he savored it. He thought about her laughter, it was like a melody to his ears, he had never heard such a beautiful sound since he got turned into a vampire. He had told her to meet him here, but would she really come? He wondered. Would she trust him enough to come to an abandoned house to see a vampire?

He oddly didn't ask any questions, or yell at me for anything, even though I did so many things wrong last night. I let out a quiet sigh, letting myself relax again. I kind of wanted to embrace this feeling while it lasted, knowing that it might not happen again once he wakes up. I found myself focusing on his heartbeat and the barely noticeable rise and fall of his chest. His heartbeat was odd. It was very different from mine. It was faint, ghostly almost. I guess everything about Vampires was odd to me. "How are you feeling?" I'm not sure what surprised me more, unexpectedly hearing his voice or his question.

I could hear her faint heartbeat without even being near her as well. The warriors piled in after me and the sound of us at the entrance was enough to alert the new vampire. He quickly stood to his feet, and I saw how red and angry his eyes were. His mouth was dripping with Tessa’s blood and snarled angrily at us. “You shouldn’t be here,” he hissed. Without much thought, I ran to him with all my speed and punched him across the open cell. His body flew and landed on the cement wall with a thud. Without giving him a chance to recover, I ran to him and grabbed him by the throat, lifting him in the air.

"Now! Let's see how good your Phoenix lineage is shall we? If I put your heart back in, and give you a taste of blood from your own little heart of course, because I certainly am not giving you my blood; it should be enough to get you back to normal." She grabs the heart off the box and glances it carefully, the small thump of the heart is still heard. "Now, since technically, you are part vampire, you need a dead heart, so!" She glides her hand over the heart, returning it to normal. The thumping of the heart stops again and she forcibly presses it inside her chest.

He knew everything I needed because, our hearts beat as one. “You hold onto your feelings a lot, don’t you?” He muttered to himself. “I can’t have that anymore, Christine. We are a team, remember?” I nodded, my fingers tracing up the sleeve that he had meticulously rolled up his forearm. It was hot as hell seeing a dark shirt on this gorgeous vampire, rolled up, a bit messy than his usual.

The vampire clutched at his chest as his heart stuttered, but he made no attempt to fight the order, so powerful was that voice. Blenda could scarcely take her eyes from her lifemate's twin; she, too, was caught in the spell of his power, mesmerized by the true beauty of his voice.
