Mammon struck his staff on the ground and every vampire shriked into dust. Audrey was amazed by the act she had just witnessed. She stepped out of the branches and approached Mammon, who seemed to be displeased by the sight of the vampires. "You have come all the way from the northern region down to the southern region because of a herb?" Audrey was amazed on how Mammon had figured it out. "The pack suddenly had a sleeping epidemic. I was told by a magician that it is the only plant available for breaking the curse." Mammon sighed, and walked past Audrey, who followed immediately.

Chapter 27: Vampires Fight Phil looked at a beautiful thrush on a tree—it was the only bird that didn’t run away because it couldn’t feel the danger he presented.
