Vanguard Card Game Clans Novels & Stories

I have to go to the club right now and get my cross necklace! Then, a stunning though crashes through my fear. I don't need vampire protection any more. I am Master's slave, but I am also more free than I have been in years. I push open the door and step into a new life.

He stood near the window instead, looking out at nothing in particular, the same way he had the day Caden's letter arrived, like the habit of standing there before saying something difficult had become its own kind of ritual. "The Vaels aren't a pack," he said. "I should be clear about that first. They're not territorial, they don't have wolves under them the way Ironmoor or Northesk does. They're a council bloodline. Old money, in wolf terms. The kind of family that's been embedded in council politics for so long nobody remembers a version of the council without them in it." "How old?"

"Without them, you will appear vulnerable. With Raymond by your side, you are a target. Every lesser house, every ambitious fledgling, will test your defenses." "And which clan would you suggest?" I asked, my patience thinning. "The Varkesh," he replied immediately. "They owe you a blood-debt from the Siege of Onyx Hollow. They are fierce and loyal to coin and debt. Their savagery will serve as a deterrent." I leaned back against the edge of the desk. "How many?" "Twenty. Two Alphas among them," Xalor answered. "More would be seen as desperation. Less would be seen as carelessness."

“Terran. The forest clan. They command the earth, regeneration, growth.” “Ventor. The mountain clan. Masters of the air. Cold but lethal warriors.” “And finally, the Nautas. They come from the beaches and islands. They dominate water, currents, tides.” Aurora listened to everything as if it were a distorted mythology lesson. The elder continued. “Every hundred years, a tournament is held. Three heirs from each clan participate: the direct descendant of the leader and his two squires. The winning clan rules Avalon for the next hundred years.”

I clear my throat for them to notice me. “What now?” He asks, taking a chip into his mouth. The sound of it crunching has my anger aggravating. “You are here, yet you haven't gotten back to me.” My eyes fleet to Maya, her head remains bowed as she fiddles with the cards she holds. “Because they're isn't anything to report yet.” “You should let me decide that,” I add my fists clenching. She looks at Holden for a minute before her attention goes back to the cards.

It was only the beginning, and I knew I wanted more—much more—with Alice. Brief Synopsis of Attack on Titan Attack on Titan is an anime set in a world where humanity is on the brink of extinction due to giant humanoid creatures called Titans that prey on humans. The story follows Eren Yeager, who joins a military group called the Survey Corps to fight against these Titans after they invade his city and destroy his home. As Eren and his friends uncover hidden truths about the Titans and the world, they face battles not just for survival but for freedom, questioning what it truly means to be free in a world that feels like a cage...Highly recommend :)

He repeated, rubbing a soothing hand across the bump of my shoulder. “Oh – yeah. They’re sort of like my adopted family, I guess. Wolves have a pack, right?” “Right,” he nodded, his eyes slightly narrowed as he focused on my words. “Well, we have a Clan. The Sunstone Clan,” I said, surprised to hear a hint of pride in my voice. “Aradia is the head of the Clan, and Ezrand is her nightmate. Her mate,” I added, somewhat unnecessarily, as clarification. “And we’re made up of vampires who reject the darkness. You see, there are two – well, three, really – types of vampires. And I’d guess that your stories, your legends, are about the Dark Vampires.”

Vance queried, perusing the file of pictures of our targets and battle plan. “Wade’s team has Venomane, Esme’s team has Forlorn Colac and Chad’s team has Artic Werelocks.” All of this information was engraved in my head. Each of these packs was a menace to the werewolf kingdom by not adhering to our pack laws. “Easy enough,” Duke added, giving the impression that this was a piece of cake to handle.

I said, my voice cutting through the heavy quiet of the hall, "then we draw a new one." I put my hands on the ironwood table. "Assemble the Vanguard," I said. Lyra’s head snapped up. Kaden exhaled slowly. The Vanguard was a contingency. A concept we had discussed ten years ago and locked away because we hoped we would never need it. Not Keepers. Not diplomats. The absolute, concentrated application of the founding ground's heaviest functions. "Who," Kaden asked. "You," I said, looking at him. "Lyra. Cord. Sable."
