Vengeance Road Book Novels & Stories

I screamed, voice breaking. "Even if I die, I'll come back as a ghost and haunt you! You'll die a horrible death!" Celeste clapped her hands with a smirk. "What a husband I have. So bold, even at the end. Then, go on... Die like a man." Just as the sand reached my chin, engines roared in the distance. Dozens of off-road vehicles surrounded us, lights cutting through the dust. Celeste froze, her voice trembling as she looked toward the woman stepping out of the lead car.

With contempt and anger: "You bastard..." The man returned to his burnt-out truck, where he reached for a charred piece of metal, as if it were an ancient weapon, brimming with rage and vengeance. He stood again in the middle of the road, silent, eyes glowing in the darkness, ready for the oncoming vehicle. With every passing second, the terror intensified; every breath carried through the crops and shadows weighed heavier on his heart.

"I want every road blocked! Every damn exit sealed! He's not getting away! Not this time!" Antonio's SUV, sleek and fast, weaved through the city streets, ignoring traffic lights, sending cars scattering. But I was faster. I was a predator, fueled by vengeance, driven by a primal need for blood. Every inch of that road was mine. Every second brought me closer to him. "You think you can hide, you bastard?!" I screamed at the windshield, my knuckles white on the steering wheel. "You think you can run?! I'll hunt you down! I'll tear you apart!"

Almost like I didn't deserve it so I decided to talk a walk around the environment to see if anything had changed. I thought about the promise I made the night they cuffed me. No more blood or killing no matter what. Now that I was back, I was determined to abide by it. I wanted peace but I just didn’t know if peace wanted me back. And in a matter of minutes, I was almost convinced it didn't. Engines roared down the road loud and fast and my gut tightened. Before I could get a hang over whatever was happening, the Steel Reapers, our rival patch streamed in in a row of straight blinding lights.

“They're headed west. Route 12. An old route through the woods with low surveillance.” Of course. Cowards always ran to shadows. A place they don't want to be seen. I slammed the car door shut and stepped on the gas. My mind was already there, at the edge of the road, ripping open the doors of that van. Seeing her again. Pulling her into my arms. And her father? He wouldn’t walk away this time. Not without killing him with my own hands. Not with my woman stolen from me. Nobody takes what belonged to me without facing the consequences of their action.

The man left his friends who were still at the Bar. In a quiet atmosphere, Xavier drove his car at high speed. But he didn't realize that his car had been sabotaged. As a result, when he arrived at the corner, Xavier could not brake his car. This caused him to hit the barrier hard, and caused his car to roll over on the side of the road. Xavier's body swayed as well until the car stopped. He felt pain all over his body. There was blood running down his temples, making him realize that his head had been hit hard.

The narrow road offered no margin for error, and the slightest misjudgment could result in a devastating collision. Not willing to take the risk, Vanya played a cunning move. She calculated the exact moment when the oncoming car would collide and made a swift decision. She jumped out of the vehicle and ran toward a small hillside. The driver was not as fortunate. Without Vanya to guide him, he panicked and quickly hit the brakes, but it was too late. With a loud crash, the van was sent flying, tumbling down the cliff. In its descent, the vehicle collided with rocks before culminating in a fiery explosion.

The intensity of my thoughts surged through me, fueling my resolve to seize control of my own destiny. In the dim light of my room, I plotted my revenge, weaving a narrative of deceit and manipulation. It was a dangerous game, one that could have consequences I hadn't fully anticipated. But I was beyond caring. The fires of vengeance burned within me, and I was ready to unleash them upon the world that had wronged me. I knew that Amber had truly been reborn—a phoenix forged from pain and anger. My mind raced, crafting a plan that would leave Brittany Davis shattered, just as I had once been.

"You’re a healer, remember? You saved Jax. You saved Vulture. Now you’re going to save your father. And then, we’re going to find Arthur Vance, and we’re going to end this." He led me to the SUV, sliding me into the back seat beside my father. As the engines of the Phantoms roared back to life, a chorus of thunder that announced our departure, I looked out the window at the ridge. The sun was fully up now, bathing the valley in a beautiful, deceptive light. The road back to Blackridge was gone. The life I knew was ashes. But as Ruan climbed in beside me and took my hand, his grip firm and bloody, I knew that I wasn't lost. I was right where I was supposed to be.

As the door clicked shut, something in me broke not into smaller pieces, but into something harder and sharper. The pain was still there, piercing into my head like a cold snake coiled in my stomach, but it was now joined by a new, fierce emotion: a burning, all-consuming hatred. But it wasn't in my spirit; it was the last chain holding me captive. The love I’d once foolishly harbored, the fear, the hope, it all drained away with the life of my child, leaving behind a cold, hard, empty vessel, ready to be filled with purpose: “Revenge.”
