After Odin left, Loki instinctively raised his head.
A drop of violet-blue venom fell, landing on his cheek.
It cut into his skin like a blade, tearing it open instantly. In the pitch darkness, his whole body convulsed as he cried out in agony. The shackles binding him were too heavy—his pale skin was quickly torn and bloodied by the iron, yet he could not move at all.
And yet, as soon as that drop of venom seeped into his flesh, the wound closed almost instantly. The tiny droplet rampaged within his body, like countless blades slicing through his veins.
