MY HYBRID MATE

MY HYBRID MATE

"I know that if I have vervain in my blood, I can resist your compulsion." Vervain? My eyes flashed dangerously. That was impossible. If she had vervain in her system, I would have smelled it. Anger surged through me like a wildfire as I turned my head slightly, glaring at the pack members watching in stunned silence. Someone had given her that vervain. Someone had helped her. "And who fucking told you that?" I spat, my grip on her arm tightening. Her lips parted instantly. "I knew you would be able to smell the vervain in me. So, I used my own formula to dodge your compulsion." I stilled. What the fuck was she talking about? My chest rose and fell heavily, my breathing ragged with barely co

Vampires and Werewolves (Book 3 Tugurlan Chronicles)

Vampires and Werewolves (Book 3 Tugurlan Chronicles)

If the person is a lycanthrope, the plant will cast a yellow shadow and they will react violently. Turning a few pages further she stopped and read; verbena (also known as vervain) is no simple flower or herb. It is one of the most potent plants to guard against vampires, surpassing the garlic bulb of folklore in leaps and bounds and it has a far nicer fragrance to it. Mix verbena in a tea, wear it in your hair, put the oils in a bath, or even soak your clothing in a verbena solution. If a vampire comes into contact with verbena, it will react violently; doubling over with pain and vomiting if ingested. There have been reports of high doses of verbena killing a vampire... It was unreal. Gabriel and I had settled on the floor in their living room, with so many books open surrounding us. I was getting sick of trying to understand all these different plants. Some were used for medicinal purposes, others were used for witchcraft, which had endless purposes within. Trying to search for most of these on the internet was deemed pointless considering most of them are poisonous to humans, but for werewolves and other supernatural beings, they have so many different uses. Vervain. Atropa Belladonna.

FOREVER BOUND IN DARKNESS

FOREVER BOUND IN DARKNESS

“No. But I’ve been thinking about it. Whoever put us here knows what we are. They’ve used Vervain on the gate to keep us trapped. If we touch it, we’ll be too weak to fight back.” The mention of Vervain made my skin crawl. It was a vampire’s worst enemy, a plant that could sap our strength and leave us vulnerable. “That’s… that’s smart,” I admitted reluctantly. “But it also means they’re afraid of us. They know what we’re capable of.” Lucas nodded, his expression grim. “Exactly. Which is why we have to be careful. They’re not going to make this easy for us.” I stared at the cell gate, my mind racing. The faint smell of Vervain hung in the air, sharp and bitter. “What if I told you I’m not as

~ Vescovi looked like a different man. Standing in his cell, hands behind his back, he was a different person. Marx approached the triple-plated ballistic glass. He forced himself to see Vescovi as he is—bitter and angry—and not as he was. “Do you know vampires do not use vervain?” Vescovi lifted his gaze to the vents above him. “We stamped out the plants like weeds. It always fascinated me the choice werewolves made to grow wolfsbane in flowerpots, tending to their weakness.”

Yes, I was also too good at this part. ****** "Aleena, what are you…", Silas stopped speaking when he saw me taking out the guns loaded with Vervain [Vervain is a potent herb and a vampire's most well-known weakness. If a vampire makes physical contact with Vervain in any form, it will burn them. If a vampire ingests Vervain, the vampire's throat and digestive tract will be burned, and they will become feverish and extremely weak. If a human ingests or holds Vervain somewhere in or on the body (e,g, holding it in a hand or pocket, wearing it in the jewelry), the human is protected from the vampire.] bullets.

THE LYCAN ALPHA’S CONTRACT LUNA

THE LYCAN ALPHA’S CONTRACT LUNA

It seemed like it was not only my pack that had the vampire problem. They did too. Vampires had been coming into their packs and going on killing sprees. Sybil had gotten protection for us that was going to keep them away from my pack. None of them were going to come in and if they were inside, then they would not be able to leave. They would be trapped in and be forced to feed. We had laced the town water with vervain, so they will not be able to. In the end, they will start desiccating because of lack of food and then I will be able to catch them.

Wolfbane

Wolfbane

I demanded, becoming irritated. For a few moments we sat in silence, in a staring competition. I glared at him and he finally gave in and sighed. “There are a few ways. The most common way is to remove an essential organ, such as by beheading or tearing out someone’s heart or lungs. Simply injuring the organ doesn’t work, as werewolves can just heal. But removing it completely is a guarantee for death. Another common way is poisoning by wolfsbane. Our pack sometimes shoots darts filled with wolfsbane at enemies to get it into their bodies quickly. But you can also die from eating it or if it’s pushed into an open wound.”

The Faye Queen

The Faye Queen

She said. It would have been great but I had very limited knowledge about any other dimension, much less have such contacts. I know there are infinite dimensions and each dimension is inhabited by one or two species at the most. And the only reason Jivan is so famous is because we have four species—humans, werewolves, vampires and witches. That won't remain the case if Adrik succeeds. "And as for plants—plants like thistle, cactus, juniper and sunflower can ward off black magic from your homes if they are planted around the periphery othe house." Raela said. "This is all I know." She spoke the truth.
