“Would you tell me a story? My friend Dustin says his mom and dad tell him stories every night, but no one will tell me a story.” My heart melted hearing his request, and I smiled. “Of course, Liam. And you are in luck. I know so many stories.” I picked him up in my arms. “Really?” he said excitedly, burying his head in my neck, making me sigh in content. “Yay.” I tucked him into his bed. I began weaving a tale about a courageous knight who embarked on an epic adventure to save a kingdom from a fearsome dragon. Liam’s eyelids grew heavy as he listened to the tale, and soon he was fast asleep.

I knew what they wanted, and I also knew this would be a challenge. I approached their beds, looking at their little faces with affection. “Okay, kids, it’s time for a bedtime story,” I said, trying to calm them down. “But, there’s one thing. You have to promise to go to bed after the story is over, okay?” Adney immediately raised his hand. “Mom, I promise! We’ll go to bed after the story, right Adolf?” Adolf nodded enthusiastically. “Yes, Mom. We promise!” Ainsley and Allonza also looked at me with sparkling eyes. “We promise too, Mom,” Ainsley said softly, while Allonza just nodded, holding her doll tightly.

Though she felt a little diffident, she pretended like nothing had happened when she thought about how Tianna wouldn't know better. Sigrid picked Tianna up, while Tianna continued to look at her curiously. She seemed to expect Sigrid to explain things to her. Sigrid rubbed her hair. "Little kids should go to bed early. It's so late already. Mommy will tell you a bedtime story. You should quickly go to sleep." Tianna blinked her big, black doe-eyes. She could roughly understand Sigrid's words, and she caught the keyword 'sleep'. She started to get excited for the bedtime story.

Just then, we heard little footsteps approaching and bringing our make out session to an abrupt end just in time to see Cassy standing by the door way with her stuff bunny in hand. I pushed back on my feet as I made to go to her while she stood there rubbing sleep away from her eyes. “I can’t sleep!” “Why can’t you sleep little pumpkin” Alex said, picking her up and into his arm. “mother forgot to tell us our bedtime story”. Alex fake a gasp as he stare back at me. Unlike her brothers, Cassy likes her bedtime stories and sometimes have a hard time sleeping if I don’t tell it to her. “How about I tell you that story pumpkin” Cassy gave a curt nod and he took her back to their room. When I see how much time is spent,I read them a bedtime story about the rabbit and the hare. I am in the middle of reading when I notice quietness, and I look down to notice the twins are already fast asleep. I close the book before leaning over to drop it on a nightstand. I pat their hair,a sigh of contentment escaping my lips, before kissing them on their heads. "Good night, my babies." I mutter,a smile on my lips, as I slowly drift into dreamland.

“We’ll stay until you fall asleep.” Liam lies back down, his little hand reaching out to grab mine. I sit on his other side, smoothing the blanket over him. “Daddy, tell me a story,” he mumbles, his voice already heavy with sleep. Jason chuckles softly, leaning down. “Once upon a time, there was a brave little wolf who loved his Mommy and Daddy very much but was scared to sleep alone in his bed...” By the time Jason finishes the short tale, Liam is breathing evenly, lost in dreams. Jason glances at me, his voice barely above a whisper. “He’s out.”

And I will fly so high away from all the abuse. "Wow, it's so beautiful! You'll read more for me insha'Allah. This will be my bedtime story in our case, bedtime poem." He mumbled gently, pressing her more into his chest. They said their prayers and fell into abyss of dreamless slumber.

A young couple moved in to a new home in Hawaii. They had a young son, Bobby, whom they would put to bed each night, only to find him the next morning sleeping on the floor in the corner of his room ... ... One day, the father put a wardrobe in that corner, and that night while the couple was watching TV, they turned to see their son walking out of his room as if he was holding someone's hand. Just before he got to the door, he dropped his hand as if the person had let go. He woke up crying. The couple were scared, and they called a Hawaiian priest for help. He told them that their house was built on a "night marching trail" — a path taken by ghosts. The priest said Bobby always slept in a c

they echoed and I walked in, shutting the door behind me. "Who's ready for a bed time story?" I said and they giggled. "Me!" "Alright, alright. Get in position," I stated. They hurriedly laid down on their beds, pulling their blankets up. I couldn't help but grin as they watched me with curious amber eyes that reminded me of Rai. "Once upon a time..." I began. Time seemed to move slowly as I engaged my baby girls with story telling. Eventually, the story came to an end and it was time for them to go to sleep.

Even if you're just explaining how a door knob works, they'll love it because it’s you. I tighten my arms around him, pulling him so close there is no space left between us. It is hard to believe that last Christmas was our first one together, and now, we are just months away from the end of March. In less than one hundred days, those bedtime stories won't be sent through a phone anymore. They will be whispered directly to a tiny, breathing miracle cradled in our arms. Ashton sighs contentedly, closing his eyes as I gently stroke his hair.
