Protecting The Royal Babies: Nanny For A Wife

Protecting The Royal Babies: Nanny For A Wife

I stepped back into the twins' room, feeling defeated, but I couldn't let them see the sadness on my face anymore. Their tears had stopped. I couldn't give them another reason to cry. "Who wants to hear a bedtime story?!" I clapped my hands, feigning the giddiness in my voice. They chorused, equally as loud. "Me!" They curled up in bed with me, and I began telling them a tale my mother always told me before bed when I was a child. It was about dragons, the magical creatures who could breathe fire.

A Secretive Deal with My Billionaire Boss

Madison After dinner, I supervised bath time while Hazel cleaned up the kitchen. Ethan splashed enthusiastically, creating tidal waves that soaked my sweater. "Mommy, can we read three stories tonight?" "One story," I countered, wrapping him in a towel. "It's a school night." "Two stories?" "One and a half." "What's half a story?" "You'll find out." I got him into pajamas and tucked him into bed, selecting his current favorite book about a dragon who was afraid of his own fire.

The book was strong but about half way I started noticing repetitive sentences or even paragraphs with slight difference, in the same chapter. Im noticing major inconsistencies with the story line now that im at chapter 411 and see the story has been "ongoing" for over a year. almost ready to turff.

Whatever the reason for delaying the update, giving us only 4 episodes per 10,12 days isn't enough. Give us at least 7 or 8 episodes please!! It should be worth waiting for so long. I always have to re read previous episodes to remember what was happening in the story before starting new ones sadly

Regret of Her Ex-Husband

Regret of Her Ex-Husband

Then, I lay beside him once he was fully settled and comfortable. “Mommy, tell me a bedtime story,” “Now?” “Yes. It will help me sleep faster. Also, nobody has told me bedtime stories since you left…” ‘since I left to prison…’ I wanted to say it out loud but I didn’t. The tears I’d been holding accidentally fell out of my eye, and I sniffed discreetly. “Of course.” I cleared my throat and began. “Story, story, story time. There was a far, far away land, and a King ruled a nation known as Anthill, filled with so many people who called themselves Anthillians.”

I responded. "I can't sleep while you're awake," she insisted. I smiled genuinely. "Do you have something to keep me entertained?" She pondered for a moment, her expression thoughtful. "Actually, I have just the thing," she said, reaching for a book on the bedside table. "It's a collection of short stories," she explained, handing me the book. "I thought we could take turns reading to each other." I nodded eagerly, intrigued by the idea. "That sounds perfect," I replied, flipping through the pages to find a story to start with.

I knew what they wanted, and I also knew this would be a challenge. I approached their beds, looking at their little faces with affection. “Okay, kids, it’s time for a bedtime story,” I said, trying to calm them down. “But, there’s one thing. You have to promise to go to bed after the story is over, okay?” Adney immediately raised his hand. “Mom, I promise! We’ll go to bed after the story, right Adolf?” Adolf nodded enthusiastically. “Yes, Mom. We promise!” Ainsley and Allonza also looked at me with sparkling eyes. “We promise too, Mom,” Ainsley said softly, while Allonza just nodded, holding her doll tightly.

TALES OF INSTANT LUST - SHORT READS Preface Greetings, Reader Welcome to a world where passion flares up in the most unexpected places, where lust takes the stage, and where desire never waits. The concept behind "Tales of Instant Lust" was that not all love stories have to be quiet or poetic. Irresistible chemistry, unsaid tension, and raw hunger can sometimes express more than a thousand romantic words ever could. Designed for people who want their fantasies to be served quickly, hot, and unrestrained, these stories are brief, intense, and explicitly sexy.

Horror Nights

Horror Nights

The boy is having a nightmare. I want to help. I want to wake him up. I want to flip him over so his nose is not in the pillow. But I couldn't do anything. I have been watching him for forty-one nights. His mother tucks him in at eight-thirty. She reads one story—always the one about the rabbit who gets lost and finds his way home. She kisses his forehead. She turns on the star-shaped nightlight. She closes the door, but leaves it open just a crack so the hallway light spills in like a promise.

Pampered Wedding: Marry Me, Mr. Langford

Pampered Wedding: Marry Me, Mr. Langford

Just as he approached a room’s doorway, he heard Tina and Kara’s conversation drifting from inside the room. “Tonight’s bedtime story is called ‘Tadpoles Searching for Their Mommy.’ The warm spring is here… A bunch of little tadpoles want to look for their mommy… After overcoming all the obstacles, the little tadpoles finally found their froggy mommy. Together, they lived happily ever after…” Tina’s tone was gentle as she read the bedtime story out loud from the storybook to her daughter. Kara lay in her arms, her heavy eyelids already glued together. She struggled to say, “The little tadpoles are very pitiful… I won’t be separated from you, Mommy… Even if we do get separated, I’ll find you

Author please don’t let her suffer anymore, from here onward have the truth start being revealed. I can not take any more abuse towards Tina and all the unrealistic stuff you think up. I was going to drop this book, but I am giving you one more chance. Please treat your characters intelligence

For a few minutes, there was nothing but silence apart from their fighting breath and the faint spluttering of the extinguished fire. He turned over onto his back, and drew her in close to him, and reached around from where they lay on the armchair, for a soft throw to cover the two of them, then he kissed her sweaty forehead. "The story," she yawned, long and sleepily, "ended like that, then?"Kaelen nuzzled into her skin, grinning. "I suspect the author's conclusion was far less satisfying." He wrapped his arms around her once more. "The Library is closed for the night. Sleep."

Frequently Asked Questions

Been there—scrolling endlessly at 2 a.m., mind buzzing, needing something to quiet the noise but not a dry snoozefest. Lately I’ve been using the 'Nothing Much Happens' podcast. The writer Kathryn Nicolai narrates calm, simple tales about baking lavender shortbread or walking through a foggy orchard. The stories are deliberately uneventful, told twice, with slow narration. Something about the mundane details and her voice just shuts off my overthinking. It’s free on any podcast app, no download hassle.

For something text-based, Project Gutenberg has collections like ‘Dream Psychology’ by Freud—kidding! Skip that. Try ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’ or some of Saki’s shorter, witty pieces. The prose rhythm in older children’s classics often lulls me. I’ll read a chapter on my phone with the screen dimmed to sepia tones. The key is finding prose that flows without sudden shocks or complex plots to untangle. A friend swears by re-reading passages from ‘The Little Prince’ in French, even if she doesn’t fully understand it—the sound alone is soothing.
