THE ALPHA'S HEIR

THE ALPHA'S HEIR

"Elena, we’ve been through enough. We defeated Victor. There’s no more fight to win." Elena’s gaze was distant, her fingers curling into her palms. "But what if Victor’s death wasn’t the end? What if there’s something worse still out there?" Her voice was barely above a whisper, but it sent a chill through the room. No one could ignore the conviction in her words. They all knew there was always a price for victory, and the toll of the battle wasn’t just physical.

Death's Day

Death's Day

The glow in those eyes were growing brighter, and Annabel had this uncomfortable thought somewhere in her mind that if the sculpture got too angry, it could explode, killing her. “No.” Her voice was weaker this time. Still, she could not bring herself to killing a man that had done nothing to him. You just have to think it. What? Think it. Wish him dead. Make it happen. The voice snaked all the way into her mind, caressing it. Slowly, she was getting overpowered by whatever it was the statue was doing to her. She could not fight something that could speak in her mind, something that could, perhaps, control her mind.

Vengeance Wears A Crown

Vengeance Wears A Crown

I held her gaze another second, then turned and walked out. Lady Kay said nothing. I could feel her eyes on my back the whole way out. Once we were far enough from the chamber, Demille finally spoke. "Why hand her the remedies, knowing something like that would happen anyway?" I glanced at him. "You have to befriend your enemies if you truly want to conquer them." He raised an eyebrow. I kept walking. "I let her walk all over me for years — not because I was weak, but because I chose to take the pain and turn it into strength, instead of letting it control me."

Bound by Fortune :A Scandalous Heir Billionaire Romance

Bound by Fortune :A Scandalous Heir Billionaire Romance

And as the lights of the city began to wink on, one by one, Davidson Ekon felt the emptiness solidify around him. The war was truly over. He had won everything. And in the chilling quiet of his absolute victory, he found not peace, but the profound and lonely truth that some victories are not celebrations. They are interments. And with Victor’s death, he had not just buried his rival; he had buried the last man who had known the full measure of his struggle, the last living soul who understood the exact price he had paid for the throne. The emptiness was not just around him; it was within him. The crown was his. The world was his. And it was his to rule, alone. —

Chosen By The Lycan King

Chosen By The Lycan King

“We’ve lost so much along the way.” He took a moment before he raised his hand and pushed the loose strands of my hair to the back of my ears. “There’s never a winner in a battle. Everyone loses something. There’s only a winned purpose and we won what we fought for today but it doesn’t mean that we are happy about it.” Pulling me in his arms he leaned his head down to my ears. “Victories come with sacrifices, Tessa. But we’ll rebuild. We’ll make sure this doesn’t happen again and those who sacrificed their lives will be remembered as a hero as they should be.”

I am loving this story. Hooked! Please update soon. Jessica is a special wolf. Her real parents are both dead now. I hope they brutally killed Ralph for murdering his mate Cassandra and kidnapping Tessa. I’m glad Jessica is a powerful wolf. Hopefully Jess and Zane are second chance mates.

May I ask what is going on in your life, dear author, that has each chapter update so inconsistent and far between? I really enjoy this book, however, it does get frustrating having to wait for so long until I can see the next chapter. Really great book otherwise.

REJECTED BY MY ALPHA HUSBAND

REJECTED BY MY ALPHA HUSBAND

And as the sun finally rose above the snowy peaks, illuminating both the living and the dead, I realized that victory was never measured by the enemies you defeated. It was measured by the people who believed in you enough to stand beside you. Even when it cost them everything.

A Love Worth Fighting For

A Love Worth Fighting For

They had faced impossible odds, yet they had prevailed. The emotional toll of the battle was immense. The celebration was muted, tempered by a deep-seated sadness. The victory had been bought at a terrible price. The joyous sounds of victory were muffled by the echoes of loss and sorrow, the revelry subdued in the face of the many lives sacrificed. But even amidst the grief, there was a sense of unity, a shared bond forged in the crucible of battle, a testament to the resilience of the allied packs.

A Different Kind of Alpha: Blood Oath

A Different Kind of Alpha: Blood Oath

I tell him honestly. I see Joran’s white hair matted with blood. I see Bates staring up at the sky with sightless eyes. I see dozens of men and women who should be alive and breathing, lying dead on the flagstones because Vorlag had a bee in his bonnet. "We won," I say. "But it doesn't feel like a victory." "It never does," Alexei says. "Not when you lose family." He reaches out and takes my hand, interlacing our fingers. His grip is bloody and slick, but it’s solid.

I feel like the story was drawn out and slow at some points, but overall it was good. I love Kieran and Alexei as a couple and how they interacted with the other characters. The only thing I would change is having them switch occasionally in the bedroom since Kieran is an alpha too.

Diary Of A She Wolf

Diary Of A She Wolf

Red blood pack is the most powerful pack of the century but defeating the rouge's was barely possible. Our victory was an escape. It was tiny survival. Oh damn it!. Why tag us victorious. I shouldn't tag ourselves victorious. That definitely wasn't victory. We loose half our warriors. The rest are terribly injured and survival ain't yet guaranteed. Worsely, we've probably lost our alpha. Likewise the injured warriors, his survival ain't also guaranteed. Numerous death and massive pack destruction ain't victory.. It's survival not victory. We shouldn't be tagged winners or victors but survivals.

The Supernaturals

The Supernaturals

They saved us from a big accident. If you know the enemy and know yourself you need not fear the results of a hundred battles. To fight and conquer in all our battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting. It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. The darkness of life is never a stone untouched till it gets what it wants.
