Victor chuckled softly at my reaction, looking completely unbothered by my fear. “Relax,” he said casually. “I only lured him away.” He paused briefly before shrugging. “If he survives or not…” he continued with a cold smile, “that’s his business.” My stomach twisted painfully. No. No, Dominic couldn’t be hurt. Victor stepped even closer, his eyes gleaming with obsession. “But even if he does survive,” he added confidently, “by then we would already be married, princess.” “You are delusional, Victor!” I snapped immediately, glaring fiercely at him despite the fear consuming me from within.
