They shifted mid-landing, replacing their once bloody paws with more human limbs. “The village. It’s off-grid. Couldn’t find it on the maps. Deep in the Frostspine Forest.” Neon managed.

Proof that shadows were closing in. I leaned into Victor’s chest, his arms wrapping around me like armor. “Promise me,” I whispered. “Promise you won’t let this destroy Elysium.” He pressed a kiss to my temple, fierce and reverent. “I promise. We need to take them out first I think, because they can do things without touching us. They can use their powers from a distance away." Tobias explained.
