His entire being was radiating darkness and decay. I watched as he violently pushed a woman away. His face contorted uncontrollably with anger. I frowned slightly. Clearly, it was not just his demeanor that had changed. However, none of it compared to the shock of looking at someone who had my face. At first glance, it was terrifying. Upon closer inspection, though, the resemblance was not perfect. Perhaps the plastic surgery had gone too far. Her features were swollen and unnaturally smooth, and even the heavy makeup could not hide the fine scars at the corners of her eyes.

I’ve never seen him shirtless till this moment. The olive skin of him shined under the lights of room, my eyes followed the veins in his hands which travelled to his neck and disappeared in the pit of his neck making my eyes drop and widen on the picture of his sculptures and well built chest and abs. 1,2,3,4,5,6 and i kept counting until my eyes landed on the V lines veins and then…. shit. I rip my shirt open and I see water rolling down my body as if it's a hot summer's day. Something catches my eye. My veins start turning black , and like almost black blood begins to flow up to my arms. Standing up , I limp to the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror. The pain begins to double and triple - I hold onto the sink. The black blood or substance travels through every vein in my body, even the eye vein - turning the whites of my eyes black. I feel it flow as it leaves a trail of pain behind. My teeth begin to hurt and I begin to loose conciousness as the pain becomes unbearable.

She moved toward him and stopped short when she saw the network of black veins in his neck and sides where he had been stabbed. “The poison is making its way through his system.”

He looks up as I enter, his expression guarded but there’s something else beneath it now. Something unsettled. “You said this was urgent,” he says. “It is.” I don’t move further into the room immediately. I just… look at him. And the moment I do my breath catches.
