Days passed by in a blur. Even my sight is blurry, like everything is in motion. My head is spinning like crazy and the vampire blood isn't helping at all. I winced in pain when I tried to remove the shreds of dead skin on my dry, cracked lips. I’ve been drinking vampire blood for almost a week now. It made my skin crawl, my throat parched and my eyesight blurry. It's like I'm being tortured before my death. My body has grown skinnier.

He holds him tightly and pushes that big needle in his vein. Biting his lips, Edward looks up at the ceiling and then closes his eyes. It's painful when such a big needle is pushed inside a cold and soft skin since vampires are half dead. So their skin is pretty thin than humans. And it hurts like damn!! As if someone is parting the whole hand from his body.

However, it could’ve just been me imagining things. I walked toward the table. The Vampire had a nose piercing and looked still quite young, but the wisdom in his dark eyes told me otherwise. His hair was styled in spikes and his face had a dark, mischievous smirk. The hunter on the other hand was an old looking man with grey hair and a potbelly. He had piercing grey eyes and a look of tiredness on his face. As soon as I reached the table the vampire sniffed and beamed. "A Veneziano. To what do I owe this pleasure?"

Ever since learning of their existence, they had always seemed like creatures incapable of shedding tears, as though sadness never manifested the same way it did for humans. Now they had reached his waist. If they crossed any further, spread past that point, he’d be gone. Not in the usual medical sense. Gone entirely. I pressed my fingers against his wrist again, feeling the pulse. Weak, but it was there. Just barely.

Whose veins held traces of magic so old it didn’t even have a name anymore. They weren’t turned into vampires. They became something else. Hybrids. Hosts. Weapons. And the realm hunted every single one of them into extinction. All but one, maybe. I helped Raymond sit against the wall. He was still breathing hard, still clutching his arm like it was burning. “I think it’s spreading,” he said, voice tight. “It feels like fire under my skin.” I knelt beside him and touched the inside of his wrist. His veins were lit. Literally glowing under the skin with this soft, pulsing red light.

AVA'S POV “For a queen you are, you're getting a bit too comfortable with these humans,” Rowan whispered, his breath tickling my skin and his voice husky and laced with a hint of warning. My gaze narrowed, eyes flashing red with a hint of danger as I took in his words. “And what makes you think so, my love?” I purred, my voice dripping with sweetness as my fingers trailed his bare chest down below to his hard member. Of course we were lying naked in all our glory, skin flawless yet had a pale color to it, and this was absolutely normal being vampires.

I need this desperately. He is watching me, writhing in pain and the subtle pleasure. I clench the sheets while trying to not make it so obvious. “ First time? ” He lowers his hand to my stomach, feeling the tensed muscles. I bite my lower lip but refuse to answer him. His eyes flash a threatening black, making my eyes widen in horror. Slowly, strange dark red veins pop under his eyes and in his cheeks. This can’t be. Only the eyes of Lycans ever flash black. And what are those veins? I have never seen this before.
