Beside him was a side stool with some food, wine, and two wine glasses. I wrapped my bathrobe tighter to hide what I wore inside from his wandering eyes and moved towards him to see what was on the side stool. "Chicken taquitos and Chardonnay wine specially served for my Queen," he said and wrapped his hands around my waist from behind. Yup, my waist is his favorite body part. I smiled and turned to face him, drawing him closer to kiss him when he stopped me by covering my puckered lips. "When you're done eating. Right now, I do not advise you to wake the sleeping tiger cause if you do, you will have yourself to blame," he said smugly with a wink.

My skin crawled. “Hi,” I said, projecting as much fake confidence into my new voice as I could. I offered him my hand, eyes bulging as I was reminded how delicate the bones of my wrist were now. “I’m – uh – Viola.” Wasn’t that an instrument? Why hadn’t Bennett given me more time to prepare for this?

Her dad asked, apparently intent on being difficult. “You know full well how I know Lorenzo,” Lilith said. “He’s my boss. For my internship. And Lex is his brother.” “Lorenzo Casello is the CEO of VI Tech” her dad said. “That should make him the boss of your boss of your boss — and on down.” “Several more bosses, in fact,” Enzo said, straightening his sweater as he stood. He was taller than her dad, and in their tiny living room, he seemed to take up a ton of space.

The glass of whiskey in his hand rattled violently as his grip tightened, his knuckles turning stark white. His jaw twitched as he watched Vito calmly take the microphone at the center podium. Vito stood beneath the blinding white spotlights, radiating a quiet, absolute authority that commanded the entire room. He adjusted the lapels of his midnight-blue tuxedo, holding the heavy crystal award at his side. He didn't look like a hidden relative playing catch-up; he looked like a king claiming his throne.

They were as homophobic as I was, yet they didn’t hesitate to show their perverted thoughts. “Eyes off him, old man.” Cristiano growled, tightening his grip on me. The man laughed, raising his hands up in defense before lowering his gaze on his drink. “So how may I help you, Vito?” He asked in a serious tone, gulping the whiskey with a hard gaze. “I wasn’t expecting you today.” “You weren’t, Castillo?” Cristiano mocked, resting his head on the crook of my neck, “We weren’t stopped by your men.”

My leg was cleaned and bandaged, and as usual, we were currently sitting in the Sforza Estate. “Us wolves and vampires have always managed to make allies of one another. Mattia is a friend’s son. When he passed away, I adopted the man as my own. He grew up with your mother when…” he looked at the door for a second, his eyes meeting Vieri’s before he chose to leave it there. “Anyhow, Mattia is like a son to me, and considering the fact that Bartolomeo left without telling you a lot; I believe that it is time for you to start understanding the danger that you are in.”

The man who seems to be in a state of hurt says to Louis, whilst I had to sit in the car a little shellshocked at what was happening and who I believe this man to me. “Vito, I have a question, is your fathers name Basilio by any chance?” I ask looking back down at the phone in my hand, sounding a little confused on the other end, Vito confirms he was. “Well, um, I’m looking at him.” I say opening up my car door and climbing out myself, where the man calling himself Basilio soon turns his attention to me.

I shrank under his calculative gaze. I felt so…naked. "I have record of each breath you've ever taken, Bella." "Stalker." I stated. He snorted, before placing his hand on his chest, over his heart, and faked a painful moan. "Oh Bella," He mocked, "That hurt." So, Mariano Rivera was capable of sarcasm. I glared at him.
