Vivi Black Mage Novels & Stories

She expected that. Fenrak didn’t like it—she felt his irritation spike even though he said nothing. Violet tapped the second requirement. “Black Magic—performed by the Witch of the Bound Flame.” “That’s me,” Violet said. “No one else can survive casting it.” Kael’s jaw tightened. “Are you sure?” “Kael, I was born for this,” she whispered. “Literally.” Then Violet pointed to the third requirement. Her voice dropped. “And one must enter the Dream Realm to retrieve the body of Khaenat.”

Good thing she was fast. And those black spikes, it was all part of her other warrior outlook. It was a black diamond armour, and a spirit she was beginning to get accustomed to, one only the blood Queen may have seen her wear. Beneath the blood sea, they had a name for this. And it was called… “The black knight,” Vivian said after looking at the spike. “That’s what attacked.” She looked up at Susan, but Susan displayed no emotions. Dena nodded. “We’re all doomed, then.”

“There is only one reason I was reborn and that is to seek for the truth, expose it and make the pioneers of the injustice attained pay however I can.” She watched me through tear-rimmed eyes before nodding. “She is a very powerful and dangerous witch and was banished by her people for venturing into a darker type of black magic. She is known to be quite ruthless and power-hungry. I believe she had made a deal with the werewolves in exchange for making anthurium. You do know the sacrifice for making that potion, don't you?” A decade worth of their power. I nodded my head. “I do,”

“What…what is it?” Xavier tried to calm me while he demanded. “Tell us what’s so bad about being a mage and a wolf?” The healer shook her head, frown lines marring her forehead. “It’s not Alpha. It’s not good at all.” She looked up and added. “Mage Wolves are considered to be the harbingers of death. They are a creature of myths like we are to the humans. And if she is one, then…” I knew this implication. It had been directed towards me many times. The trailing offs, the unsaid words that did not mean anything positive.

Vireya's POV When we reached the center hall, the High Witch of Iskareth stood waiting, her black robes flowing like liquid shadow. Her eyes widened the moment they landed on me. “We have scores to settle,” I said, lifting my chin, “but if we don’t fight the demon who stole your Heartstones, he’ll come for your lives next.” Her jaw tightened, but she didn’t speak. Zevarion stepped forward. “We’re gathering allies. This isn’t just our fight, it’s the world’s. We need all of us. Even you.”

What is making the golems move? “The source of the core isn’t mana nor magic stone.” “Yes, I expected that much.” Sabrina thought of something else. “Is it black magic?” She inquired. The female dragon tamer shook her head and gave a different answer. “Something else along with black magic.” Sabrina started to frown. She was too stunned to speak. Black magic was taboo magic that one could commit. Whoever practiced black magic would suffer rapid aging and live in a rotten body. The black magic practitioners or wizards sacrificed a few dozen humans and were cannibals.

She wore a grand gown of shimmering midnight silk, her dark eyes gleaming with quiet, arrogant satisfaction as the elders debated the legitimacy of the Blackwood Alliance. "The girl is an unvetted wild mage!" Elder Vane of the Northern Peak thundered, slamming his oak staff against the stone floor. "She holds no noble lineage, no celestial bloodline! How can we allow an unregistered stray to command our vanguard while the Covenant of House Silverwing remains unfulfilled?"

Is it possible? 'I am telling you the description matches. The dark magic of the Blackveil Illusion would have called the power up, and the fire would have been the trigger. She is not harmed by the fire because her wolf was strengthened by it. The fever is the awakening burning through her. It should pass.' I let out a breath I hadn’t realized I was holding. Vivian’s words eased the fear in my chest. 'How long does it last? Do you know anything else?’ I asked.

It wasn’t a rogue. It was Drake. He roared, eyes blazing gold, blood already streaking his face. “BETSY!” My wolf surged hot and violent through my veins. Matteo pulled me toward an exit. “We need to move, now!” but I jerked out of his grip. Because behind Drake, through the smoke and debris… A figure stepped in. Tall. Hooded. Crackling with familiar, hateful magic. Vivian. Her voice slithered across the room like poison.

The berserker demon is a black charred mass and the mage is on the floor, howling in pain. “Heh, I overestimated”, I say as I walk towards the mage curled up in a ball, nursing his wound. I’ll ask you again, answer and I’ll let you go with at least one limb. Who sent you?” He turns around and tries a last ditch effort to attack. “Blood Demon Magic: Death’s Grasp” . A black mist covers both of us. “ I’m taking you with me, mage!”. I sigh, and snap my fingers, “Sowilo” A miniature star the size of a soccer ball forms , burning the mist away, and the mage too. The dimension starts fading away, as I walk to go buy what I wanted before.
