" Wake up! Wake up!" I immediately get up when I heard a voice. My heart was beating so fast. Cold sweats pouring down from my forhead. For some unknown reason, my tears suddenly poured because of fear. Another impulsive move from me, I suddenly hug him and cry on his shoulder. I feel that he stiffened but he didn't refused. My dream was still fresh in my mind. The war, the voices who are asking for help, the blood, dead people ,and the two innocent people died in the hands of vampire . I'm so scared watching them fighting and killing each other. I feel like my dream is real.

Stephen muttered, his tone mocking as he chuckled softly, even going as far as licking his lips. “You're disgusting. You're the most disgusting human I've ever met. You fucking fag. Do not ever come near me again. Jesus, what in the fucking world?” I spat in disgust, wiping my lips again and again but it didn't get rid of the disgusting feeling on my lips.

I throw myself on the bed and shut my eyes. Jesus! I feel like shit. “What's the point of eating if you eventually throw everything back in the toilet?” That familiar, husky voice that always sets me on high alert comes from inside my freaking room! I sit up with a shriek, and stare around. Without doubt, there's a pair of molten orbs staring right back at me from the couch in my room.

Or anyone. I turned my head and looked at the untouched tray of food. Eggs congealed into rubbery lumps, toast curled into hard edges. A mug of cold black coffee sat beside it. My stomach roiled at the thought of eating. I closed my eyes again, inhaling the stale air. Memories swirled, sluggish and dark, pulling me under. Elvira’s voice in my head: “You disgust me.” She didn’t just say it with words. She said it with her eyes, her scent, the rigid way she held her shoulders. Like I truly disgusted her.

CHAPTER 7 Though sleep was challenging, Jeff managed to doze, but the dreams that followed seared his subconscious like a fire poker. In one, the dead fly in his vomit came to life and buzzed from the wastebasket, landing on his lips. He tried to blow it away, to spit it out when it crept down his throat, but the insect forced itself into his stomach where he could feel its vibrating hums as it laid batches of eggs. His gut grew heavy and bloated, swelling to twice its normal size as hundreds of maggots burst forth, eating their way out from the inside. He fought to scream, but larvae filled his lungs, suffocating him.

Something wasn’t right—not just discomfort, not just nerves. We hurried down the hallway together, stopping just outside the bathroom. The door wasn’t fully shut—it hung open by a few inches. Neither of us spoke. We just listened. First came the violent sounds of vomiting. That alone would’ve been enough to worry me. But what followed wasn’t normal. There was a low, guttural noise—something primal, raw, almost inhuman. My breath caught in my throat. Then, slowly, the door creaked open. What I saw next stopped me cold.

It wouldn’t hurt to sneak a quick bite before heading back inside to continue my race against the clock to get ready for tonight’s event. I carefully loosened the bow, enjoying the crisp sound of the ribbon sliding free, and lifted the lid… …only for my smile to drop instantly. Instead of the warm, buttery scent of freshly baked cookies, a rancid stench hit me straight in the face. Inside was… not cookies. In place of the cookies was something green. And slimey. Before my brain could process what I was staring at, the whole box erupted. A disgusting, gooey explosion of green slime burst into my face, coating me in the foul-smelling mess.

Nikolai came to Emeric's office on a Thursday evening, and Tobin heard every word because the ventilation system in the east corridor carried sound with the fidelity of a confessional. Sebastian opened his mouth, probably to defend himself, to twist things like he always did, but I was already walking past him, already done listening.
