"Hold this tightly," she instructed, trying to grasp the young woman's hand to replace her own. The woman jerked back as if she had been struck by a snake. Kelda rolled her eyes. "Hold dette fast," she repeated in the old tongue. This time, the blonde nodded in response and moved her hands to the cloth.
